Nova Core are just the NYPD of space, now. A generic police force to be wiped out by random threat x.

Corps, not Core. They SHOULD be Marvel's version of the Green Lantern Corps. Nova has a LOT in common with the GLs (Rich and Hal even have the exact same origin).

Should, yes. But first they need to stop being comic relief.

They stopped being that the moment they made the general Nova's normal space police like in the movies.

That would mean Marvel would have to stop following James Gunn's version of the Nova Corps.

Surely the MCU Novas will be changing soon anyway? Fans won't be pleased if Rich and/or Sam gets introduced, but they don't have their powers.

    I’d like to see:
The Spaceknights: Ikon, Sentry, Terminator, Pulsar
More Nova Corp with a bigger heroic role
    Exploration of the Kree Starbrand
Return of Ex Nihilo, Abyss, Nightmask
Kevin Brashear and the Neutral Zone and return of Anti-Man
Robbie Rider & the Fraternity of Raptors
    Eternals
    Inhumans
    Hyperion from Hickman’s Avengers

I'd like to see Ewing pick up on the mystery of what happened with the Fourth Cosmos.

Also more of the Fraternity of Raptors. Some further exploration of the Quantum Bands' history would be nice too.

Honestly, I'd like Ewing to build enough off his Ultimates run (and heck, toss in Royals if you want to add page count) to cause Marvel to put it all in a nice OHC

I always took the Fourth Cosmos to be an oblique reference to Kirby and the Fourth World.

    Fans wont care.

MCU has already deviated plenty from comic canon. It's more important the new characters fit the world that has been built so that the heroes are easily interchangeable during big team ups. Most MCU fans are not hardcore comic fans ... and that's OK.

    2. Not entirely sure what you mean. It’s still the same continuity and several of the same characters, but Ewing’s telling his own stories. The first arc will have the Guardians face off against the gods of Olympus, which was set up at the end of Avengers: No Road Home.
So this whole thing they have been setting up in GotG and the Infinity Wars and Thanos books with the young Magus isn't really going anywhere further?

That is entirely up to Ewing to decide. I don’t think young Magus is really “setting up” anything personally; it’s just his new status quo.

Looks like Andrea Sorrentino's done a variant cover for the book!
