The REAL reason Jon was given a random scar?
Is so that when he comes back, people will be able to tell the difference between him and Clark. He'll even stop calling Lois "Mom" and call her by her first name, and takes over his dad's place as his dad fades away...
I know, I know. Its nightmare fuel all around.
Good God, do not will that into existence. Teen Jon is bad but if he ever becomes Obito levels of stupid, I might give up on comics altogether. Though I guess they do already have a lot in common. They were both really good characters before they disappeared and came back older.
....Suddenly Obito Jon sounds like a good idea.
has there been any talk of all about when bendis will get off of superman?
Probably not anytime soon. I've heard that his books still sell relatively well, and he and Didio seem to be tight. So expect him to be at the helm for a while.
Much like the O5 X-Men, his changes to the Superfamily will probably last even well after he's gone from these books. Our only hope is that, also like the O5 X-Men, another writer can come in and turn said changes into something good.
SUPERMAN #25 would be the absolute earliest final Bendis issue, and that's only if he's feeling more burnt out than anticipated by writing at least 3 Superverse titles simultaneously: SM, AC, LOSH) before then.
Much more likely, Bendis departs right after SUPERMAN #50 before moving onto the Batverse titles.
It's going to be long ride, either way.
The way things are going there is a decent chance sales will drop below 40,000 by this time next year. However, even if it does, I imagine Didio and co will just see 5G as an opportunity to boost Bendis's numbers and keep him on the books. Seems like they are giving him a lot of leeway with his sales and the sales of the books he's overseeing (ex. Dial H for Hero).
