I've said this elsewhere that it is interesting to me that in some capacity 5G is going to survive (in this one-shot and John Ridley Batman) even though we won't really know what it would have been.

The 4 issue thing sticks out to me a lot as well. What can you possibly introduce "that changes the universe" in a four issue mini. From what little description given it affects the Fox family. Well they aren't really used all that much now anyway. So what ever changes made might not even stick 3 years later and since it's only 4 issues the ground breaking black Batman that they will market hard is kind of a dud knowing it's on a literal time limit.

^This, I am very curious how this is suppose to change the universe, I'm also wondering what is the point of the mini effecting the universe if 5G is supposed to exist in some form in an imprint that may or may not be loosely connected anyway.

Has this Generations book become an "event" and is no longer the thing to set the timeline in place b/c this seems so typical of DC where this doesn't lead to anything.

Supposedly, it's Batman from Detective Comics #27, yes. However, in Detective Comics #1027, there's a Generations story in which present day Batman gets sent back in time and finds himself in his 1939 body! So, this might actually be modern Bruce.

Honestly i preferred them to have new ids than Batgirl again. I dont trust DC to play fair with the mantles.
