Is there something that prevents allcaps here?

No, it isn't. I still contend a well-written love interest could have worked.

I believe so because the mods don't want rudeness and all caps denote yelling.

    Yeah no.

JMS’s take on Peter/MJ was easily the most boring they ever been and by far the worst MJ’s ever been. Thank god I never have to read that run again.

I'm talking about characters like Carly in Slott's run.

Edit - If you don't like romance in your Spidey comics just say so, that's fine.

I think your opinion is very much in the minority, but whatever floats your boat lol.

I could argue why JMS MJ is a well developed and strong character, how JMS showed her importance in Spidey's life in words, and top the best moments, both the more romantic and the funniest, but they would be arguments, and it's useless to use arguments when the person don't like one thing because he just don't like this thing (it's okay, everyone has irrational hatred for something).

Who said I didn’t like romance?

There are lots of great romance stories between Spider-Man and a lot of characters. They don’t have to be named MJ.

I honestly didn’t care about all this until people started sanctifying her. She’s seriously not required.

As for why I hate JMS MJ (and really JMS May as well) is that I feel like they were reduced to Peter’s luggage and only acted as a sounding board for him. They really ceased being characters there. At least in the main book. I found lots of enjoyment in the supplementary ones.

Basically, my problem is Mary Jane has reached Mary Sue status and there’s no better proof than random characters talking about how awesome you are in spite of not really being close.

Why on earth is she with Jarvis, Iron Man’s butler? When did they get so close? (Obviously during the time that they moved into Stark Tower, but I still didn’t like that storyline so that’s why I’m criticizing it.)

In Spencer's run, he introduced a group called the Lookups. Supporting cast members of different heroes who want to open up and talk about their experiences with other heroes. It's a way to cope.

I feel like modern combat are more s parody of comics rather than comics themselves. It’s getting really annoying.

    Lookups. Really?

Yet another case of making the Marvel Universe unbearably small.
