I thought it was the other way around, that CC wanted Rachel to be the daughter of the Phoenix and Jean, Anakin / Jesus style.

i think everyone should let the story play out before deciding either way, though. he very well could be being influenced. everyone is saying that Charles' behavior is 'off' as well.

I was a bit disappointed by this. The dialogue felt off, though I don't know if that's just due to how Hickman is writing it or is there a deeper purpose behind it. The art wasn't great, Leinil yu to me works best on the darker, grittier books. The highlight of the issue was Serafina. Has me wondering if this is connected to why the New Mutants have to go get Cannonball to meet his ex.

Plus didn't old dude and Reed do most of the work he basically just designed the worlds? .he whatever Franklin Richard's has always been a terrible character I hope he stays away from the x-books but I know he won't.

CC's intention with breadcrumbs left behind. Hickman's just picking it back up and running with it.

If we're going with CC's intent or breadcrumbs then she's a Christ child as she's supposed to be the child of Jean and the Phoenix Force and the true heir of the Phoenix. But that's been never picked up on, certainly not Wolverine being her biological father was in CC's intent.

And just as Annual 14 threw out that Ahab line about questionable parentage, the Sinister genome chart shows she does have Summers' in her genes.

Remember when X-Fans were claiming Marvel were trying to replace the mutants with the Inhumans? I wonder if Inhumans fans will now say the same of the X-Men because IMO opinion(if we just go by this issue alone), it certainly seems to be the case lol.

Also, Polaris and Cyclops are about to become a thing and I'm assuming the empty room will soon be occupied by Lorna.

The empty room, at least one of them, is for Emma when she's there and not in Scott's room.

Not sure how I feel about the Summers Barbarella Moon Sex Cave, but at least we know why Emma wanted to get the heck out of dodge..

Heh, judging by her look in issue #6 of HoX, she most certainly isn't getting out of dodge.

Very good issue. 12 helicopters out of 7 peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Specific things I liked:

• Cable's room being matched with Cyclops' and Jean's rooms, and Rachel's room being matched with Wolverine's and Jean's rooms. Hickman is implying parentage with his floorplan.
• Rachel's last name being concealed, because it isn't Summers or Grey.
• Polaris calling out Cyclops' (formerly?) disingenuous bit about having a baby son.
• The possibility that Hepzibah is hitting on Rachel, which further points to Rachel not being a Summers. (If she is not hitting on Rachel, then Yu made very odd choices making them move closer, and making the camera move in on them tighter, with each panel, followed by "let me get you another drink.")

Rachel is not Scott's biological daughter according to UXM Annual #14.

Nope, she is, it's just a dumb Claremont idea to make her an immaculate conception that was never followed upon, and even in that issue not actually confirmed.
