She can't be saved, it is tragic

It's so grim, though. The best X-men stories find a way to save everyone. Even Cassie Nova got a second chance as Ernst, and she was bald Hitler. It just feels weird that we're writing her off while actual genocidal maniac Gabriel Summers gets to char the steaks.

Maybe Xavier can transfer Karima into a clone body and she'll be ok.

Also, this issue broke continuity again. Xavier didn't invent Cyclops' glasses. Cyclops had them before he met Xavier. Hickman hasn't been researching the old 1960s issues.

Her factory settings are her default and its what she always returns to. Any attempts to redeem her has been a temporary bandage. She should not be allowed on Krakoa and they need to wipe their hands of her for good bc there are innocent mutants and children that they put at risk by accepting her. Outside of maybe Thunderbird, they dont have a personal connection to her and she isnt worth the hassle.
It's the very fact that Karima is a victim that's the reason why the X-Men shouldn't turn their backs on her. She didn't choose to become an Omega Sentinel, it was forced on her and, unlike the likes of Mystique, Sabretooth, Lady Mastermind, etc, she doesn't choose to betray the X-Men either. The second that the X-Men just flat out turn their backs on a victim, regardless of what they've become, they no longer have any right to call themselves heroes because at that point, they've become everything they ever fought against as they consider themselves as more important than the plight of the innocent. They have a means of saving her, it's just a matter of how far they're willing to stretch their mutants first and foremost attitude in the face of a victim that they have the power to help.

Like the innocent children they just rescued?

What you're saying isn't at all wrong but eh, if not for the resurrection process, Scott would be dead and she had a big hand in that.

But I think this is part of where the discomfort from this book comes from. The X-Men have abandoned Karima, humanity, precogs, all in the name of keeping themselves safe.

If not for Charles, Sinister and the Five, Logan, Jean, Scott, Monet, Paige, Warren, and Kurt would be dead. It's kind of about keeping themselves alive and though they can come back, no one should have to suffer being murdered. And humanity gets some nice, fancy, designer drugs in exchange.

Oh, they save their own. How noble of them.

Have they got the power to help her? That is debatable.

And humans with their human-specific drugs. Win-win!

Has Hickman or anyone commented on this possible swinging door in the Summers household? I'm curious if any of the folks at Marvel have commented.

You're right, they're only asking the rest of the world to please stop killing them. Please recognize the Nation they have created, they would like for this one to not be wiped out.
