Can't wait for Havok to knock knock knock on his brother's door, only to be surprised when Logan opens it in his underwear. <3

Sinister doesn't use his shape-shifting ability often enough.

Surprised? What do you think he's gonna be knocking for.

    Scott had his turn.

Cue Alex confusingly asking Logan why he made a hole in the bathroom's wall.

The contrast of the people who are so outraged is only made funnier when you see there's two pages of Sinister filming sextapes and other Summers brethren having a go like a merry-go-round. We truly do live in a society, lololol

Jean was basically wallpaper, not that I expected anything else in "the Scott Summers story". Vulcan and MiniCable were done dirtier in that they seemed mis-characterized as opposed to under-characterized, IMO, so, yay (?)

Also, would it have killed them to keep Silva and/or Larraz for the freaking flagship? Yu's style gets old quick. Hope they shuffle around a bit down the line.

2/5 overall, because it was very underwhelming.
Jean also died on earth. So I guess that should've opened shop in Mars.

Jean has X-force. So, it's obvious she will do less here, hack you can say wolverine is the wallpaper in "Scott Summers Story".

Larraz and Silva were busy with HoX/PoX.

Good point, there's not a lot of places left for them to live with that logic, lol. They did say it wasn't the Blue Area, so there's that.

I highly doubt Jean will have much to do in X-Force, TBH, and the solicit itself said this was the Scott Show. Expecting anyone else to really shine was delusional, although Ro, Lorna and Mags were given their moments.

Larraz and Silva could have remained busy with X-Men, is all I'm saying

Look at the position of his room and Jean's and you will understand.

He's going to get rid of the Thunderbolt X-Gene and get a Summers gene so that they will have to get him in.

    I loved the issue!

I lived for a year in Oaxaca, Mexico where many families live communally multi-generationally and I boarded with them. Grandmother was the matriarch, her oldest son was a successful lawyer with a wife and child who also all lived there, middle son owned his own auto-repair shop, youngest son went to school. They were wealthy enough to have a large place that accommodated not only them, but exchange students.

But, other families did similar things, on a smaller scale. The only thing 'odd' about my temporary family's situation was their ability to have a large complex... not that they all lived together.

It was actually really cool and felt really wonderful. I got the same vibe from this issue. There are other cultures that have similar living arrangements and historically, it's far closer to what humans have done since forever than our modern 'atomized' households.

While I'm personally monogamous, and really am turned off by the idea of multiple partners personally, I know successful polyamorous couples and there are cultures that are far more open about such things (especially in smaller tribes and clans). And it doesn't 'cheapen' or 'demean' the relationships, it's just very different than the societal ontology we work within.

So, I'm fascinated to see how Hickman will explore how this new Mutant culture will explore how everything might grow in very different ways than we experience in our dominant Western one. Politics, language, technology, relationship with environment, sex, love, relationships, etc. All of this can be very fruitful ground for conceptual exploration and the narrative drama that can come from that exploration.
