Default Dr. Doom and Molecule Man

So at the end of New Avengers #24 it shows that Dr. Doom is in control of the Molecule Man. Have we heard anything more about them in other comics since then? How powerful is Molecule Man now? Could Doom actually beat the Cabal with Molecule Man or stop the incursions?

    Not yet.
Should be pretty powerful. Last time he was cosmically powerful. Probably not the incursions with power alone as even stronger beings has been unable but he can at least take the Cabal.

The Molecule Man and Doom had a bit of an alliance in Secret Wars (not to be confused with the Bendis mini). It was Doom that enlightened him to the true nature of his power, showing him that he was more powerful than he knew. It was also in Secret Wars that Owen Reece met his sweetheart Marsha Rosenberg. She was biologically enhanced through some device Doom found on Battleworld and her code name is Volcana. She hasn't been seen much lately though but in a way Doom was their "matchmaker"

Later on in Steve Englehart's Fantastic Four it was revealed that the Molecule Man and the Beyonder were two halves of an incomplete Cosmic Cube. Their powers were merged into a Cosmic Cube known as Kosmos. Owen was later able to get back to Earth

I don't know if this is still considered canon but back in FF #320, this is how Molecule Man describes his powers in a confrontation the Beyonder has with Shaper of Worlds and Kubik

That was really nice of Doom. Doom does act as a kind of therapist to characters. He also helped Titania with her fear of Spiderman.

I didn't know about that one. Was that is Spectacular Spider-Man from a while back?

Web of Spiderman 59, Acts of Vengeance:

Titania gets a power boost I think, and Doom puts a microchip on her that nullifies her fear of Spiderman. Unfortunately Spiderman now has the Unipower.

I didn't put together Molecule Man in Secret War II with this latest Event Secret Wars, where Doom again partnered with Owen Reece, and found that all matter in the multiverse was controllable by Owen. So once Doom found a piece of an Alternative Earth fall to Latveria, the first thing Doom did was contact Owen Reece, and it was then that Owen spoke about the bombs that were the function of all Molecule Men on all Earths.

If Nadia Pym, in ANAD Avengers #14, has determined that molecules do behave in predictable fashion, then Molecule Man was altering history everytime he manipulated reality by changing events.

But certainly, it is a nice reference to remember that Doom and Molecule Man have a very intricate relationship, and it wasn't random that they were found together at some point during the Incursion events in Hickmans grand story.

Smile Happy 55th Anniversary 616 Owen Reece aka Molecule Man!!! 1963-2018

    Fantastic Four #20 Nov 1963
Origin and first appearance of the Molecule Man in "The Mysterious Molecule Man!"
After examining an asteroid with proof of organic life in space,
the Fantastic Four investigate a strange fireball that has appeared in the streets.
Sucked into it, they find it's a device belonging to the Watcher.
Inside, the Watcher tells the Fantastic Four of a man who was exposed to

a nuclear accident which transformed him into the Molecule Man.

Warning of the potential danger of the Molecule Man's molecule altering abilities, the Watcher sends out the FF to stop him.

In their initial conflict, the FF seem unable to defeat him and each attempt to stop the Molecule Man is met with failure.
Fed up with the FF's interference, the Molecule Man erects a glass dome
around Manhattan and demands that the people of the city help him capture the FF.

Reed eventually realizes that the Molecule Man's powers don't seem to have any effect on organic material
and so they lay a trap in which they pose as statues in Alicia's apartment, while Alicia alerts the Molecule Man of their location.
When the Molecule Man's powers fail to affect the FF, they are able to knock his wand -- the focal point of his power -- out of his hands
and keep it away from him long enough for the Watcher to arrive and take the Molecule Man away.

Script by Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Dick Ayers

Right now he's "dead." No one believes he'll stay that way.

Yeah, he always has been able to eventually pull himself together when he's been blown to bits.
