Default If the AXIS retcon is undone...

... what is to be done with Wanda?

If she’s made a mutant again, she falls under Krakoan jurisdiction and the right to try her for her many, many crimes

The sentence, however, would be a problem:
    • Executing her means that A) she probably falls into the resurrection protocols, and even if Xavier puts off her resurrection, her anima will probably corrupt Cerebro as surely as it did Vision’s wife, B)the Scarlet Witchcraft (no doubt tainted by Cthon and the Life Force) will pass to Billy
    • Exiling her to the deep runs the fairly obvious problem that Cthon’s already semi-psychotic Avatar/favoured meat-puppet is allowed to even crazier with nothing to do but listen to him (and while otherworld might be brought to heel in Excalibur, Elder Gods are another matter)

    So what should be done?

The retcon actually makes a different event much worse.

In AvX, Hope undoes "No More Mutants" by combining the Phoenix with her ability to use Wanda's mutant ability to wield Chaos magic, since Chaos magic harms the Phoenix. But if Wanda isn't a mutant, how did Hope do that?

OT: There really isn't a good option to deal with Wanda.

Hope also copied the chi powers of a newborn dragon from K'un-lun, so unless that dragon was somehow a mutant, Hope could just inexplicably copy non-mutants in that event

I think the event was trying to imply that Dragons are precursors to mutants, but it was handled really sloppily.

They should just retcon all of Wanda's story with mutants. I love the Magnus family but X-fans hate her, the X-men shouldn't be anywhere close to her.

I still want justice for Magma though, She needs a big ol' cathartic epic battle sequence against Wanda. She's got Mephisto to stir up some trouble too.

I'd say forget the punishment but instead of wandering off with the Avengers or whatever she has to serve time with the X-Men and the defense of Krakoa.

Make her earn trust back. After all the time she distrusted her father now the roles get reversed. She has to win him back.

Maybe have her rot in a Krakoan prison for a bit.

Shrug. I mostly want Quicksilver back.

To be fair, every series could use more dragons.

Seems a bit much to try her for essentially being possessed by a demon. The poor lady has been a pawn of evil so often, from Magneto to Immortus to Chthon.

Make Wanda a member of the X-Men.

Wanda should have been the third X-Woman

It's one of the big what-ifs, isn't it - Lee and Kirby obviously intended Wanda and Pietro to come over to the good guys' side, but it was decided to have them join the Avengers instead of adding them to the X-Men. (Probably because Stan Lee was known to prefer small teams.) Then a few years later they left the Avengers and there was some talk in letters columns that maybe they'd join the X-Men, but then the X-Men got canceled and the twins went back to the Avengers a year later.

Of course Wanda's "hex power" was always so poorly defined, and so poorly differentiated from magic, that she might not have fit on a team where everyone had more defined powers. I think that's one of the reasons Quicksilver has always been a better fit with X-groups. With Scarlet Witch writers are always trying to explain that her powers aren't really magic, they're a mutant power to... do... something... probability... uh... whatever.

I think it was like, transitive property of the phoenix. Hope could channel some Phoenix power already, and the Phoenix was connected to the Iron Fist thanks to Fongji.

Whether that makes sense is, well, a different question.

If they retconned Wanda, Magneto would never let her be executed. He is many things, but one thing he definitely is an overprotective father and I think he would kill anyone who tried to hurt Wanda no matter what differences they have between them.

Honestly, I am not even sure how Lorna would feel, she did lose her powers after M-Day and had to go through a horrifying process (horseman of Apocalypse) to get them back. I am not sure if they have ever addressed whether Lorna forgives Wanda or not.
