i like the concept art but not the concept itself. it would have been interesting to see Ray lead a book...but i don't know if its the right story direction for her character development within the X-verse. i dunno. i have mixed feelings about shunting her off to space.

I world have rather had space than Gold, Extermination, and most of X-Force.

I think when the series started, he noted there'd be more additions to the team. But given all the mandate & editorial interference, all he could do was throw her in for a cameo near his run's end. Otherwise, she probably was gonna be on his roster.

Bunn had lots of stuff thrown at him. For example, I liked the idea of Creed x Monet as a pairing, but got frustrated that all Bunn did was beat around the bush and insinuate lots of crap without showing anything. He may have wanted to build things slower, then sadly the mandate came in, and pretty soon, there was no room to give that pairing any attention because of the other stuff that needed addressing for his run ended.

So despite some annoyance, I try to keep giving Bunn benefit of the doubt for the short leash he was on during his run before they cancelled it and told him he could write the O5 in Blue or get lost.

I think it was Cebulski that said that claimed that writers put too much stuff in few issues.

But if a writer doesn't pack his issues, it is very possible these ideas never happen because book is canceled or editorial took the writer of the book.
