I think from here on out they are going to try and figure out a more Cap approved method.

I expect Namor to bring Thanos and company to this incursion to ensure this next Earth gets blow up as well.

Nah man, Namor is there in almost every issue pointing out what feebs the others are and how they don't have the stones to do what's right. Go check it out again.

Many of those issue's he says all of two words with little follow up or through on what was meant. More importantly it goes on without revealing his way of thinking or like I said his personal perspective. If you only read New Avengers as a new fan you would think that Beast is smarter version of the cookie monster, that Black Bolt is a boring mute used for big scenes, and that Namor is simply a Sh*& starter. Heck until recently Doc Strange was just the old mystic dude in the corner. The story has clearly flavored a certain character for pretty much the entirety of it's run.

OK, now the next incursion must be where Thanos is the one to pull the trigger, because the only person who was capable of putting aside his morality and doing the necessary evil has been driven away.

From this point forward it will have to be Thanos group pulling the trigger with the Illuminati finally looking for other methods of dealing to deal with this threat. If anything there will probably be only one other time the Illuminati will be faced with pushing the button.(if at all)

Thats my prediction anyway.

I think Strange wanted to be in his demonic mode so that he could essentially forget about the consequences of his actions, and then when he snapped out of it thanks to Tony's repulsor blast, he said that they shouldn't dare ask him to push the button because he's given all he has got already.
