This story is just crazy epic. It’s like the classic 60s and 70s Crisis stories on steroids. Heroes from every timeline and alternate earth showing up page after page and primordial gods battling for the fate of the multiverse. Kamandi leading that huge assortment of heroes into battle was pretty great. It’s been a lot of fun but I can definitely see potential for “epicness fatigue” setting in.
Loved seeing Brainiac One Million resembling the Brainiac from Superman: TAS. Who are those members of Vandal Savage’s Legionaries Club? Just gonna give them made up names. Steampunk Girl, Olde-Timey Darth Vader, The Great White Hunter, and Captain Eye Patch!
I was thinking about the concept of Doom being the dominant force in a universe. Wouldn’t this be how things are on Earth 3? In the Silver Age stories and in Morrison’s JLA, the heroes couldn’t win when fighting the Crime Syndicate on their own earth. The laws of reality all fell on the side of evil. I hope they are brought up as Perpetua’s ideal earth. A place where survival of the fittest is the main rule and altruism and heroism are losing traits.
