'All traitors must die': Feds charge man for threatening whistleblower attorney

Federal prosecutors in Michigan have charged a man with making a death threat against one of the attorneys for a whistleblower who initiated the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump, according to newly unsealed court records.

The man, Brittan J. Atkinson, allegedly emailed the attorney in November, calling him a “traitor” who “must die a miserable death.” The attorney, Mark Zaid, confirmed to POLITICO that he received the email the day after Trump held up Zaid’s photo and read some of Zaid’s tweets during a rally.

What gets me is how willing the GOP Senators and cronies were to "out" him and put him in danger. They knew full well there is a rabid band of crazies. There was literally no reason other than vindictive, blatant retaliation. Rand Paul etc main ones. If you want to defend trump fine. But, you KNOW there was no reason to dangle threats like this against a legit whistle blower who everyone testified went through the proper channels to complain.

Its the lowest of low and plain dangerous.

But all part of a Republican strategy to keep whistleblowers silent and not drop a dime on dirty dealings, knowing there would be retaliation, the likes of which could put careers and, quite probably, lives at risk.

Trump already has made noise about refusing to debate the Democratic nominee like the coward he is, and seeing Warren toss the rest of the field around like ragdolls tonight probably has him trying to find a corner of the Oval Office to hide in.



On this, we agree. But we have to remember that MSNBC once employed Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.

Hell even Clinton is for One person one vote wins. The same should apply to the DNC... People on this thread will try to say something about Bernie wanting rules changed to favor him. How about favor Democracy, because one day Sanders won't be here, and the next person whose not a Centrist shill might get fucked too.

The Right Wing in America has this idea of Patriotism that somehow only they know whats best for America and if you don't bend the knee and love the flag and forgive Right Wingers their crimes, then you aren't a Patriot.
