To me, it was between this and "Sometimes" because Andy Bell looked hot in that white t-shirt.

"President Donald Trump doesn’t have much of a primary fight on his hands — but Republican voters are nevertheless turning out in droves for him, a warning sign for Democrats in November.

The massive turnout is a reflection of organic enthusiasm among conservatives and a sophisticated effort by Trump's campaign to rev up its get-out-the-vote machine ahead of the general election. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Iowa and New Hampshire ahead of voting, and the campaign flooded the two states with high-profile surrogates and launched a Facebook advertising blitz reminding supporters to cast ballots.

The efforts are paying off, with Republicans turning out in historic numbers. Trump received more than 31,000 votes in the Iowa caucus, surpassing the 25,000 Democrats who turned out during Barack Obama’s successful 2012 reelection bid. Trump’s share was more than four times the number of Republicans who caucused during George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign.

The vote totals in New Hampshire were even starker. The president received 129,696 votes, more than doubling Obama and Bush's totals.

While it’s unclear what the figures might portend for the general election — the president's job approval numbers remain stuck in the mid-40s in most surveys — the results highlight the degree to which Trump’s base is energized. A little more than a year after the president’s party suffered sweeping losses in the midterm elections, Republicans are bent on ensuring that Trump wins a second term.

“There is a personal vote for Donald Trump that is unshakeable,” said John Couvillon, a Louisiana-based pollster who has been tracking the primary totals. “Republican voters are willing to go out" to vote for Trump even though he doesn't have a formidable primary challenge."

Yep. Trump voters will lap up all the infighting and will show up for him even in useless primaries where he has no challenger. Will take massive coordinated effort to rally behind the Democratic nominee for a victory. He has historic amounts of money. He has the propaganda machine of Fox news to help for free.

He doesnt need the silly infighting on the Dem side but he will take it. Then impose his will on us and make it harder to get anything done in future elections.

He's also deteriorating in front of our eyes and the GOP might lose the Senate, though. Silver linings.

This Nevada poll... seems to be a bit of an outlier.

    Steyer 19%
    Klobuchar 16%
    Biden 14%
    Sanders 13%
    Buttigieg 13%
    Warren 7%

That pollster certainly can't be accused of herding.

I wouldn't count on it. The Dems have a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Even in 2018 the "Blue Wave" underperformed. Many pundits initially thought they would take the Congress by a greater margin and that they could even flip the Senate as well.

That's... why I said it's a silver lining. A glimmer of hope. Not a "sure thing".

If that is even remotely correct this is going to be the most insane primary in modern history. Steyer is gaining steam in the South though (not enough that I think he'll win anything) so a little too early to outright dismiss him.

It’s too soon to dismiss ANYBODY in this race, despite claims to the contrary about Biden to certain supporters of Bernie Sanders.

Eh I think it's easy to dismiss Gabbard. However realistically with Nevada this week and SC next and then Super Tuesday I think we are looking at a field of Sanders/Biden/Bloomberg going at it and maybe thereis room for someone else to sneak into the fray.

I've always said Biden is still in this, he's just at an extremely weak position compared to where he was even a month ago. However, now it's a game of the primary field and cross campaigning. SC really was supposed to be the statement win before Super Tuesday for Biden. It was supposed to go (top 2 finish in IA and NH) then a decisive win in Nevada and then a big stamp on South Carolina to make him as strong as possible into Super Tuesday. Now he's trying to hold onto Nevada and South Carolina is a must win to keep him viable
