    • Jim Webb: Jim Webb was a candidate for president in the 2016 Democratic Primary who probably would have fared better had he ran as a moderate Republican, rather than a moderate Democrat. Webb, a former United States Senator from Virginia and Secretary of the Navy, was only in the race for three months, but was in it long enough to spend a debate complaining about having to wait too long to talk, and amazingly, when he was given a softball question to tout his service in our nation’s military, he said his proudest moment was trying to get a laugh about killing the soldier who wounded him in combat It… wasn’t the best way to boast about how you won the Navy Cross, really. There was also a memoir out written by a Pentagon official, Chase Untermeyer, who reflected on an anecdote Webb once told him in his office about nearly killing a biker in the 1970s with his bare hands, where he advised, “Moral: Show no mercy in a fight.” While such a tale might be a great thing to have on your resume if you’re trying to get hired as the new head of the Cobra Kai Dojo, it’s not the best look for a Democratic presidential candidate.
    • Tom Brower: Somehow, don’t ask me how, Brower is a Democrat serving in the Hawaii House of Representatives who has served in that state’s District 23 since back in 2006. But as much as Democrats often talk about the GOP’s “War on the Poor”, Tom Brower does it literally. In 2013, he actually became “disgusted” with homeless people and began to go into the streets of his district to find homeless people with their things loaded in shopping carts, smash up what little they did have with a sledgehammer, and stop them from sleeping on the street to prove he’s serious about not giving them a free pass. After the story went viral nationally, Brower claimed he would stop harassing the homeless. Except Brower apparently didn’t stop, because this vigilante made the news again in 2015 when he was assaulted by two homeless teens after filming them and taunting them for being destitute.
    • Debbe Leftwich: Back on July 9th, 2015, when CSGOPOTD profiled former Oklahoma State Senator Randy Terrill. Terrill, as you may recall, was charged with a felony count of bribery for offering Debbe Leftwich a job with an annual salary of $80,000 if she agreed to withdraw from running for the Oklahoma State Senate, and she apparently was willing to play ball on those terms. For her attempt at perverting our nation’s democracy through bribery, Debbe Leftwich plead guilty and received a staggering sentence of… one year’s probation. Her political career, of course, is over.
    • Dan Lipinski: A lot of folks think Democratic Congressman Dan Lipinski, a political legacy whose father was in Congress and is the U.S. House Representative for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District isn’t actually a moderate, but a DINO. And they’re probably not overusing the term. After all, Lipinski was a rare Democrat who voted against the passage of the Affordable Care Act, consistently votes anti-choice, and isn’t just opposed to gay rights… on gay rights he’s terrible. He’s one of only two Democrats who felt that the Violence Against Women Act shouldn’t be expanded to provide protections for lesbians and Native Americans. But it’s not just that he’s indifferent to adding new protections, he’d like to strip rights that the LGBT community fought long and hard for in radical ways. You see, Lipinski’s’s in favor of amending our country’s constitution to ban same sex marriage after the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.
    • Troy Brown: The tale of Louisiana State Senator Troy Brown is one loaded with hypocrisy, scandal, and rage. When Brown won office in 2012, it was on a platform of being a good family man, and in 2014, he was calling for the state legislature to create a commission on domestic violence. And that’s why it was a bit unexpected when Troy Brown got arrested at a New Orleans hotel in late November on misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Even worse, the woman he punched in the eye was not, in fact, his wife, but the secret “side friend” aka mistress he had been carrying on with for over a decade, which added a whole new layer of moral failure on Brown’s part. After the incident, Brown’s attorney told the media that his client did not remember striking the victim because of “a brain injury he suffered years ago”. That’s probably quite reassuring for voters, that their representative in d, by his own admission.Troy Brown’s legal woes don’t end there, either. A week after his arrest, he was sued by Daniel Becnel, Jr., a big donor in Louisiana politics who claimed that Brown had provided “fraudulent information” about whether or not he actually lives in the district he represents. Oh, and all of the health care companies he owns are now under investigation for Medicaid fraud, billing irregularities, and violations of client care standards.
    • Chaka Fattah: Fattah was the U.S. House Representative from Pennsylvania’s 2nd Congressional District who was found guilty on 23 separate charges of racketeering, money laundering, and fraud stemming from a failed campaign to become mayor of Philadelphia in 2007. Fattah served in Congress from 1995 through 2016, when his massive corruption scandal resulted in his defeat in the Democratic Primary for his seat in the U.S. House. He was given a ten year prison sentence.
    • David Clarke: Sheriff David Clarke was a four term sheriff of Milwaukee County in Wisconsin, and while he’s been a registered Democrat since he first took the job in 2002, his politics actually line him up with the most conservative Republicans you’ll ever find on the right. And trust us, Republicans have definitely noticed how embarrassing this guy has become to folks on the left, as he hasn’t just been a frequent guest on Fox News, or on Glenn Beck, or on Alex Jones’ InfoWars (where he called for a new American Revolution). Republicans invited him to be a speaker on the opening night of the 2016 Republican National Convention, where he decided to give a big “BLUE LIVES MATTER!” speech to stick it to Black Lives Matter protesters. In early October 2016, when it appeared Donald Trump was going to lose the presidential election, Clarke had the level-headed response that it was “torches and pitchforks time” against progressives, which sort of defeats the purpose of protecting law and order, like he’s supposedly sworn to do. Clarke has further advised personal gun ownership because he feels police response isn’t adequate to respond to help protect a person (again, he’s a sheriff), and believes anyone even suspected of supporting ISIS should have their rights of habaeus corpus ignored and just have them thrown in Guantanamo Bay Prison. Oh, and in April 2016, under Clarke’s watch, an inmate named Terrill Thomas had the water turned off to his cell, and over several days, Clarke’s underlings allowed him to die of extreme dehydration. Clarke will not comment on Thomas’ death, other than remind everyone that Thomas had a criminal record, which still is no excuse from denying him of a human right to water. Clarke resigned in 2018, and remains a cult hero to conservative circles while being investigated .
    • Jarrett Maupin: Maupin, a minister and failed Congressional candidate from Arizona’s 7th Congressional District in 2014, who has also led several unsuccessful campaigns to become Mayor of Phoenix. Maybe he needed a better strategy than what he tried… just accusing Mayor Phil Gordon of being a child molester to the police. (Maupin was convicted of a crime in 2009 for falsely reporting a crime after the cops spent eight months… yes MONTHS trying to find evidence Maupin claimed he’d seen with his own eyes.) Maupin feels like he’s the victim in all this, though, referring to his treatment as “political lynching”. Perhaps the most damning statement you’ll ever find is that Maupin is “Arizona’s version of the Reverend Al Sharpton”. That’s frankly an unkind comparison to Al Sharpton, who can at least host a Black Lives Matter protest without incident. When Maupin does it, he’ll try to suddenly incite a band of untrained protesters, some with children, to block traffic by trying to walk down an on-ramp and onto the state’s busiest freeway in the dark, without any advanced thought to put some sort of lights on his flock so they can be seen without being run over (the cops thankfully stopped his idiocy). We’re going to underline this… Jarrett Maupin is such a brainless glory hound that the leaders of Black Lives Matter refuse to recognize him as their representative in Arizona, and disavowed his protest. His attempts at helping BLM got a “thanks but no thanks”.

    • S. J. Jung: Jung has twice lost in the Democratic primary to try and get elected to the New York State Senate. That might not just be because he’s opposed to LGBT rights, but he’s spoken before to a Korean religious group in his district about how he’d like to have all mention of gay people removed from school textbooks. Jung was quoted as also saying, "I pray Jesus Christ's love to spread and his message speak through this election and your prayer of faith to make me become a warrior clad in armor." We would not mind in the least if this intolerant tool got locked in a suit of armor and couldn’t get out, frankly.
    • Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: Once upon a time, the Democratic National Committee was run by former Gov. Howard Dean, and it was doing quite nicely. Democrats swept the 2006 elections and took control of the House and Senate, and in 2008, President Barack Obama, a progressive champion got elected under his watch. Then Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida’s 23rd Congressional District, took over the DNC, and Dean’s “Fifty State Strategy” was cast aside for her… whatever she did for six or seven years. Terrible messaging on progressive causes like the Affordable Care Act or even marijuana legalization became frequent in all of her countless cable news appearances (she apparently saw the DNC Chair as a means to elevate her political profile which is the worst reason to want the job), her leadership also saw a lack of cyber-security that ended up with the DNC getting hacked by Russians at the behest of Vladimir Putin to aid the Donald Trump Campaign, and she was constantly taking positions that made it look like (or that she flat-out was) bending over backwards to try and put her thumb on the scale to help Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Presidential Primary. After Wikileaks got the DNC’s e-mails and her stupidity from internal DNC communications was laid out before the world, it led to Wasserman-Schultz resigning as Chairwoman on the eve of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. To quote one top DNC staffer on her departure, “Good f***ing riddance.” She still had the gall to show up to speak before the Florida delegation at the DNC, and was booed off the stage. At this point, she’s lucky she survived her 2016 primary challenge and still holds her seat in Congress. She’s really just lucky that the only person who comes after her in a primary is someone as sketchy as Tim Canova (who we’ll discuss at a later time.)
    • Tim Canova: When we profiled Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and complained about what a terrible job she did running the DNC, and mentioned that she narrowly survived a primary challenge in 2016. Tim Canova was that challenger, a die-hard supporter of Bernie Sanders himself, and a guy who seemed to stir up as much animosity towards DWS as he could about the presidential primary to try to help his own chances in his own primary loss. Since his 2016 loss, he’s cited whatever conspiracy theories that seemed to cross his mind, no matter how ridiculous they might be. This includes the theory floated by Fox News about how the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich was somehow a move by the Hillary Clinton campaign (the one floated on Fox News). He also, for whatever reason, went out of his way to proclaim Russia did nothing to manipulate the 2016 election, in spite of the entire United States intelligence community confirming that a lot of hacking, and general manipulation was carried out on the orders of Russian PM Vladimir Putin. More than anything, though, Canova questions the integrity of United States elections, including his own primary loss in 2016 to Wasserman-Schultz, because of course he does. He’s accused her of hacking his home computer, with exactly zero evidence.
    • Al Franken: This one’s a real bummer for us to include, but we kind of have to have the former U.S. Senator from Minnesota, Al Franken, who was one of a few Democrats caught up by the #MeToo movement. Leeann Tweeden published a photo from a USO Tour she worked with Franken in 2006 where he appeared to be groping her while she slept, and discussed being sexually harassed by the former comedian. While he apologized, and it seemed like maybe Franken would survive the scandal, a few more women came forward to also indicate they had crossed paths with Franken through the years and he’d been a bit handsy. At that point, Franken did turn in his resignation from the Senate.
    • John Conyers: Conyers was a legendary Michigan Congressman John Conyers, who was in office for 52 years before retiring abruptly after his sexual harassment of female staffers and interns ended his career at the age of 89. Adding salt in the wound was that Conyers had used taxpayer dollars to settle the ensuing lawsuits from his behavior. Over 20 years, hundreds of cases involving Rep. Conyers were settled for over $17 million. This could end up being Conyers’ legacy, even though he is one of the 13 founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus and managed to end up on Richard Nixon’s “enemies list”, while voting for articles of impeachment after Watergate.
    • Roger Hernandez: Hernandez was a member of the California State Assembly who in 2016, was trying to unseat Grace Napolitano in California’s 32nd Congressional District when reports came out that his estranged wife was filing a restraining order against him after an ugly encounter with him that reminded everyone Hernandez was investigated for a domestic assault that took place in 2007. Outside of that incident, Hernandez also was charged with a DUI in 2012, and in 2015 was charged with money laundering, and when the media began noting that perhaps a candidate for Congress who has the adjective “alleged” most frequently used to describe him, he dropped out of the race, and did not choose to run for his seat in the California State Assembly, either.
    • Paul Levota: Former Missouri State Senator Paul Levota managed to creep on two different interns from Central Missouri University, his alma mater, when they came to work at the Missouri state capitol. He resigned in August of 2015 without ever admitting guilt.

    • Kimberly Daniels: Daniels is a member of the Florida House of Representatives from District 14, whose background comes from using the “Spoken Word Ministry” with her former husband, as a “side hustle” where she has rebranded herself as an “Apostle”. She has taken that false pretense of being holier-than-thou into her politics as a rare Democrat who tries to ignore the separation of Church and State and tries to amend bills with “poison pill” legislation to try and place signs labeled “In God We Trust” in all public schools. She has also gone on Facebook live to ramble incoherently about witches and warlocks putting hexes upon Donald Trump, because that’s not nutty. Daniels barely won re-election in 2018 in the Democratic primary, but her increasingly bizarre antics are likely to bring about her undoing in her Jacksonville-area district, sooner rather than later.
    • Flo Matheson: Flo Matheson was a 77 year old candidate in the Democratic Primary for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District in 2016, whose chances of winning her party’s nomination were likely hindered when she was arrested for growing 180 marijuana plants on her property. She admitted to smoking pot, but denied knowing about the scores of reefer plants in her residence. Any chance at her becoming a dark horse winner went out at that.
    • Ruben Kihuen: Rep. Ruben Kihuen was a state legislator in Nevada from 2011-2016, in both the State Assembly and State Senate, before he successfully unseated Cresent Hardy in the 2016 elections. However, it was not long into his time in Washington, D.C., that reports came out about him being a skeevy bastard and sexually harassing lobbyists back in Nevada and staffers at the capitol, and he decided not to run for re-election for a second term in 2018. Instead, he’s currently attempting a comeback as an Independent candidate for Las Vegas City Council, and we hope that effort fails.
    • Noah Dyer: Dyer was only very briefly a Democratic primary candidate for the Governor of Arizona in 2018. Dyer decided to launch his campaign by giving an interview on the Daily Show to Desi Lydic where he decidedly over-shared, talking about how he engaged in frequent casual sex, sex with married woman, sex with multiple partners at once, sexting, and has had sex on camera. While Dyer thought getting out in front of his sexual history might avoid any kink-shaming… it didn’t give him any momentum whatsoever. He ended up trying to run as an Independent candidate, bailing out just prior to Election Day 2018.
    • Bettie Cook Scott: Bettie Cook Scott served three non-consecutive terms in Michigan House of Representatives, the first two in 2007-2011, and then a return in 2017 and 2018. That left her term-limited in 2018, so she attempted to make the jump to the Michigan State Senate to continue her career. Her prospects weren’t good, as she was already making the news for being threatened with eviction by her landlord while running for higher office. But her real problem with her advancing out of the Democratic Primary, however, was that she referred to her opponent, Stephanie Chang, by telling potential voters, “DON’T VOTE FOR THE CHING-CHONG!” As was complaining about Chinese immigrants in the same rant. Bettie Cook Scott then decided to abandon her constituents once it was clear she wasn’t winning the primary, ceasing to show up to work in the state legislature.
    • John Morganelli: John Morganelli was a long-time hardliner on immigration who decided he wanted to attempt to get elected to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District by replacing one of the last not-awful GOP Congressmen, Charlie Dent, who was retiring in 2018. He got caught trying to sanitize his Twitter account to facilitate his election, specifically deleting posts where he praised Donald Trump, criticized Rahm Emanuel, and attacked progressives within the Democratic Party. The loathing was mutual, and several progressive groups and billionaire Tom Steyer made sure that Morganelli lost in the primary by about 1500 votes to Susan Wild, who went on to win in November.
    • Benjamin Wolf:Benjamin Wolf was a candidate for Illinois’ 5th Congressional District in 2018, who made some waves early upon announcing his campaign, including a video where he held an AR-15 and said it had no place in civilian life, or when he allowed himself to be photographed smoking pot, because he wanted cannabis legalized. Any left-wing credentials were immediately nuked when an ex-girlfriend of Wolf’s came forward to discuss how he allegedly abused her when they were both at DePaul University, and he would send her messages telling her to kill herself. DePaul confirmed that Wolf was permanently banned from their campus. Reporters also began to notice Wolf seemed to have the nasty habit of inflating his resume, as well. He ended up getting less than 10% of the primary vote and finishing a distant third.
    • Corrine Brown: Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown served twelve whole terms in office representing Florida’s 5th Congressional District before being defeated by Al Lawson in the 2016 Democratic Primary. Lawson’s victory may have also been aided by the fact that Brown was indicted at the time, and eventually found guilty of fraud and several other charges after she funneled $800,000 meant to go towards poor students to make her social life more colorful and get out to Beyonce concerts and to vacation in the Bahamas. She was sentenced to five years in prison, and just lost her appeal in January of 2020.
    • Steve Lebsock: Lebsock was a three-term member of the Colorado House of Representatives, who after a myriad of sexual harassment and solicitation of sexual favors allegations were leveled at him, was expelled from the state legislature by a historic 52-9 vote. Those nine votes to keep him were all Republicans, and proving that the GOP are enabling sexual harassment, they allowed him to switch party affiliation and join them on his last day in office.
    • Elizabeth Esty: Former Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty served three terms in office in Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District from 2013-2019, but opted to not run for re-election in 2018 after she faced widespread criticism for enabling her chief-of-staff to get away with egregious sexual harassment, domestic violence, and threatening women. She at least expressed regret for letting people down for failing to do the right thing, but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing.

    Justin Lecea

One of the more perplexing candidates for office registered as a Democrat in the 2020 elections was Justin Lecea, who was running for U.S. House in Texas’ 20th Congressional District to challenge the generally beloved Rep. Joaquin Castro. Lecea was a former Occupy Wall Street protester and a Bernie Sanders acolyte who refers to the Democratic establishment as “entirely beholden to their corporate donors” and regards the Affordable Care Act as “worthless.

As the primary election approached, Lecea completely melted down against the party he was supposedly a part of, leading off by calling for Pete Buttigieg to be hanged.

And if that wasn’t concerning enough, Lecea decided to call Barack Obama a “war criminal”, and wished cancer upon him:

Justin Lecea lost the Democratic primary to Castro by a mere 87 points, getting only 4.7% in a three-way race. He can at least be content that he didn’t finish third, we suppose.

(But y’know, toxic Bernie Bros don’t exist, or so we’ve all been told.)

    Marianne Williamson

Marianne Williamson was a Democratic nominee for President in 2020 whose resume includes author, philanthropist, and Oprah’s “spiritual adviser”. She announced she was running on Jan. 9th, 2019, to a general reaction by Democratic voters of, “WHO?” (Honestly, though, her charitable efforts are very commendable.) However, she immediately turned heads once the crowded debate state opened up and she used her roughly five minutes of speaking time to say that her first act as president would be to call New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and tell her, “Girlfriend, you are so on,” and viewers were generally perplexed by her, particularly how in her closing statement, she advised Americans to “harness love” (which, don’t Google that unless you want to research S&M gear).

The second debate, however, was where she turned heads in a big way. While seeing her voice her concerns about the fact that Flint, Michigan was a promising moment, she otherwise shined… her crazy diamond. While making observations about the white nationalist, racist, hateful rhetoric of Donald Trump was toxic to the country may have been the best way to voice her concerns, Williamson chose to get metaphysical and interrupt a relevant policy discussion by other candidates to voice her concerns over the “dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred”.

Williamson failed to gain enough momentum to qualify for any debate after that, started blaming the media for not taking her candidacy seriously enough, and ended up suspending her campaign a year and a day after it began.

    Justin Fairfax

Justin Fairfax is the sitting Lieutenant Governor of Virginia who was elected in the 2017 Blue Wave election there, beating Republican Jill Vogel with 53% of the vote. Simply put, Fairfax has been accused by two separate women of sexual assault, one alleged assault in 2000 and another in 2004. He insists that any encounters with the women were consensual, and has refused calls to resign from his office from the Virginia Democratic Party. Fairfax seems determined to not just not resign, but has designs on higher office, planning a run in 2021 that we hope he does not win in the primary for.

    Tulsi Gabbard

Tulsi f***ing Gabbard, a Republican’s favorite choice for who should win the 2020 Democratic nomination. Which might have something to do with the fact that she’s used Project Veritas (i.e. James O’Keefe’s conservative dirty tricks site) videos to bolster her campaign, appeared in repeated interviews on Fox News, including during Tucker Carlson’s White Power Power Hour. Tulsi Gabbard, the woman who is bizarrely unable to criticize Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad. The candidate who doesn’t want Democrats to talk about her wildly anti-LGBTQ history with her intolerant pappy. The candidate whose campaign was mysteriously being propped up by Russian bots and hackers, who speaks more kindly about Vladimir Putin than she does Barack Obama, and who seemed only in the 2020 race to blunt the momentum of Sen. Kamala Harris. Did we mention that when Hillary Clinton mentioned there was likely a “Russian asset” in the 2020 Democratic field, Tulsi lost her s***, self-identified as who Clinton was talking about, and now has contracted a case of Steisand Syndrome by making that allegation only seem more true by filing a $50 million lawsuit for defamation that she’s unlikely to win (because Clinton didn’t say it was HER, of course).

Tulsi Gabbard has won two delegates in the 2020 Presidential Election so far, is not qualified to appear in any further debates per the Democratic debates, and yet has not dropped out of the race. We’re already thrilled to learn that her bizarre presidential campaign that will not end will effectively end her career as a Congresswoman, as she’s not running for re-election. The general consensus about her is that she might make a “comeback” as a Republican candidate in two to four years’ time.

We hope the nation responds by telling her, “Hard pass.”

    Cenk Uygur

Cenk Uygur has been the host of The Young Turks, the progressive Youtube show who grew up conservative, but in 2003, the Iraq War made him rethink his entire politice views. Uygur has a long, troubling history of derogatory comments aimed towards women (including that women are “genetically flawed” because they don’t want to have sex often enough), who had designs on becoming the next Congressman from California’s 25th Congressional District after the resignation of Katie Hill, a victim of revenge porn.

In December of 2019, Uygur bizarrely imploded any hopes of winning office, when he defended the deranged outgoing Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin’s pardon of a convicted child rapist, while simultaneously accusing Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of mass murder. (That’s not a good look.)

Cenk Uygur’s carpet-bagging attempt was in vain, as he finished fourth in the open primary for CA-25 with only 6.6% of the vote, and thus will remain the host of the Young Turks, and likely will spend the next eight months complaining about the Democratic establishment when he probably should be digging in to help them stop the re-election of Donald Trump.

‘You Do Not Want This’: Chris Cuomo Describes Worst Part Of His Coronavirus Infection

The CNN host announced his diagnosis hours before going on the air.
No sane person wants to pass this virus to anyone else, but the insidious part of it is that the virus is spreadable even when you don't have symptoms or even before you know you have it. I hope Chris gets over it and I pray no one in his family comes down with it. I'm convinced that it would be heartbreaking for him it that happened.

My town's mayor sends out email updates periodically. Last count, we had 28 known cases among residents, a few in the hospital, and about 6 considered recovered. According to the Mayor, many of these cases were inter-family, as in one family member gets it then spreads it to others in the same family. He also expects the number to increase, but hopefully not as steeply along the exponential curve as the it is in NYC and the big NJ cities considering we are far more inland and less densely populated.

Hey, WPP, is the Pennsylvania governor still in denial? Or has any restrictions and socila distancing measures been placed yet? Whatever goes on in Philly affects the NJ area across the Delaware. Just as what happens in NYC affects NJ across the Hudson.

It depends how that lack of enthusiasm is translated.

It's no secret that at least a portion of the Sanders fanbase has made no secret about not supporting Biden if he's the nominee. That's where it's a problem.

If they're unenthusiastic about Joe BUT they still vote for him anyways, then it's moot. As I said earlier in the threat, an unenthusiastic vote is just as good as an enthusiastic one.

It also isn’t entirely surprising. How many candidates did we have in the primary? Given how many there were, a lot of people had to move down their list before ending up settling with Biden over Sanders. Trump didn’t have to engage in debates or even some primaries this season. He got consolidated support from the party. Biden didn’t have that luxury. I expect “enthusiasm” to grow as we get closer to November and people are looking to get Trump out of office.

That’s part of it. However another part of it was that even in the primary, Biden’s voters were almost always polling with the top priority being “a return to normal” or “beating Trump” and they just happened to believe Biden was the vehicle for that. Now those particular voters won’t matter because they’ll turn out for Biden. But it does show that Biden as a candidate wasn’t the draw. It was the perception of the VP of the last admin bringing the clock back and not rocking the boat that was the priority.

The big unknown is the general is not a primary so a lot of those people are either in red states that will go red once you add in Republican voters or purple states where you need to turn out another voting block to edge out Republicans. The question is more about can he turn out those who aren’t even voting for him to win a general.

Right now he is winning the primary by 300 delegates and he has 40% of the total vote. Now people dropped out who might have voted for him but does he have enough enthusiasm to get them to begrudgingly join him? More people usually come out in a general, will he get enough of them to go for him in a higher stakes election. That’s where enthusiasm comes in because it’s not an easy question to answer

Hillary Clinton had a much more dominant primary season and had more enthusiasm according to polls. She still lost.

So you can’t read too much into a primary victory for a general. It’s a different game. Republican voters are added in the mix. A bunch of states that mattered are states you don’t even campaign in anymore, etc.

I think you need to update your Tulsi bit since she had dropped out already.

Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention Cenk's issue with his staff wanting to unionize.

Hillary Clinton wasn’t more dominant than Joe Biden. Biden has won far more states and is winning the popular vote by a wider margin than she did. We can’t really discount the effect other candidates had on voting that didn’t occur with Clinton.

Of course, there are still a lot of questions. And many of them are ones we won’t be asking in November. That won’t be because we ever got satisfactory answers to the questions mind you, but because there will be more important questions at that time. That is why prognosticating this far out on an election is a fool’s errand.
