A Chinese student friend of mine has flown back to China because he feels safer there now than in the US. He definitely believes what his government is telling him.

I can understand feeling safer in regard to the assholes who are doing hate crimes thanks to Trump. But, why does he believe them? Xi had himself voted in for life, how do you trust someone who has basically created his own dynasty, and broken part of the idea of democratic communism the idea of office chosen by the people.

I have a friend who has it in new York. His sister got it looking in on him and she has asthma. His older sister has it too, and has to stay away from her 6 month old and husband.

He sent it to Florida because that's where Marlago is. I hope it gets destroyed by a hurricane.

A pregnant friend forwarded me a petition protesting the new rules many hospitals have that won't allow fathers present during delivery.

I get that it's disappointing but... that was a no from me.

This is a question that has been asked several times now on UK radio...and has been answered essentially same by the different doctors asked.

All the evidence so far has shown that the virus does not cross the placenta barrier, so the baby would not be in significant danger if the baby’s mum had a mild case of the virus.

But..obviously..any illness in the mother does pose some additional risk, so in UK pregnant women have been placed in vulnerable group, asked to maintain social distancing for 12 weeks.
