Do the words "Touchdown Jesus" not ring any bells?

I mean, Notre Dame IS South Bend in the figurative sense given its standing for Catholic academics and athletics.

what's so progressive about mayor pete? he's better than trump because trump is impossibly horrible. that's about as much as i'm going to agree to. Pete hasn't proven himself, yet. that's the kindest thing that i could say about him.

    I find this interesting:

Germany took in millions of refugees since 2015, and has had those dreaded spendthrift Social Democrats in a coalition government with Merkel's center right party for years now.
They had (another) record surplus last year.

Trump lambastes his critics as he moves to target perceived enemies over impeachment

President Trump is preparing to push out a national security official who testified against him during the impeachment inquiry after he expressed deep anger on Thursday over the attempt to remove him from office because of his actions toward Ukraine.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman — a National Security Council aide who testified during House Democrats’ impeachment hearings — will be informed in the coming days, likely on Friday, by administration officials that he is being reassigned to a position at the Defense Department, taking a key figure from the investigation out of the White House, according to two people familiar with the move who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss personnel decisions.

Vindman had already informed senior officials at the NSC that he intended to take an early exit from his assignment and leave his post by the end of the month, according to people familiar with his decision, but Trump is eager to make a symbol of the Army officer soon after the Senate acquitted him of the impeachment charges approved by House Democrats.
Update: Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman reported for work at the National Security Council on the White House complex Friday, and by 10 a.m. had received no notification that he was being transferred or reassigned, according to a person familiar with his status who requested anonymity to discuss a personnel matter.

Trump is preparing to push out Vindman, who testified during the House impeachment inquiry about concerns he had after hearing a July phone call in which Trump pressed the leader of Ukraine for investigations that could benefit him politically.

Vindman will be informed as early as Friday by administration officials that he is being reassigned to a position at the Defense Department, taking a key figure from the investigation out of the White House, according to two people familiar with the move who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss personnel decisions.
The situation with Vindman could be seen as an early taste of what a Donald Trump revenge tour would look like if he wins another term. Judging from the tenor of his celebration lap/angry tirade speech on Wednesday, Trump, who never met a grudge he couldn't milk the **** out of might not even wait until after November (should he win) to start lopping heads.

Because they largely wanted to contribute to the economy through the workforce and all they needed was short term assistance to get them settled and adjusted to the new environment.

However, conservatives both here and abroad will argue that they are a menace to society due exclusively to their religion and nothing more. Honestly, if someone wants to pay taxes and contribute to society, be it bussing tables or writing software code, what is the dilemma? Acts of terrorism through fanaticism don't use convoluted backdoor plots; they rely on disillusioned citizens already living there typically.

Republicans are like a massive group of people with shovels, digging holes deeper and deeper with the idea that everyone and everything around them will fall in ... only for the ground under their feet to become unstable and for them to fall in as well.

trump might be the last shoveler standing, but even he will fall into this pit eventually.

And this is why I have grave issues with Trump and some of his toadies insisting that the name of the whistleblower be revealed....of course it has been leaked online. But how do we know he/she hasn't already been punished somehow? Or maybe it will come at a time when everything has died down. People have short memories in today's fast moving news cycle.

We can only hope and IMO it's a thin one at that. Trump has done probably dozens if not a hundred things that have sunk other political careers. He's cheated on all of his wives, had affairs with porn stars and that's just his personal life. Any other candidate would have been sunk on just those things alone. Just recently he disrespected the National Anthem....ON FILM and just yesterday he disagreed with Jesus about loving your enemies. That sermon had zero effect on Trump and the annual prayer breakfast in the WH

10,500 likes indicate people aren't exactly ignoring him.
