NJ is postponing it's primary to July 7 .... One of these years, instead of being the last to vote, maybe we can be one of the first for a change?

Paul Krugman once said that if NJ was the first Primary and not Iowa, we would subsidize Diners instead of corn.

To be fair to Sanders supporters, this probably isn’t the best time to litigate whether or not Sanders supporters should jump over to Biden. For many, he was the only candidate that they felt listened to them. They can be aggrieved and angry and upset now. There’s plenty of time between now and November. We might be better off listening to their grievances and answering the ones they have calmly and coolly, and the ones we can’t, we let them vent with. We don’t need to create any more animosity. And those who got on board with Biden need to understand the importance of not being perceived as sore winners. Just like how Sanders would’ve needed us, we’ll need them.

Wyoming's low population density can also help.

That is like opening movie theaters when people can watch TV and movies at home instead. Or opening Shopping malls, when people can shop online from home or buy local to keep away from crowds.
If you close the parks, and people have less places to go for a walk, those remaining places will become more crowded.

Parks aren't really the equivalent of movie theaters, since those are indoors and generally have people sitting in close proximity for about two and a half hours.

We are still the same people who fell in love with George W. Bush after 9/11. We are very impressionable, especially in a time of crisis.

This is not only a demonstration of how badly he responded; it also shows how unpopular he is. Hopefully that bodes well in November.

People want to resume their daily lives but can't realize that we have a new disease that has fundamentally altered our world.

We have to accept a new reality, unfortunately.

This animated graphic from the BBC shows the worldwide progression of the pandemic through this week. It's worth watching.

Watch, in particular, for the appearance of the US at the beginning of March, and then the speed at which the US epidemic takes off.

Barack Obama endorses Elizabeth Warren’s plan for tackling COVID-19.

I’m starting to get the feeling Biden is gonna pick her as his VP candidate. She is smart, resourceful, and well-liked among Sanders supporters (their reaction to her online notwithstanding). And Obama broke his silence on virtually all the candidates in the primary by endorsing a plan of hers.

It can also work against us. A lot of these towns don't have the medical facilities to deal with Corona virus patients. Some have to even rely on other towns for medical care (Pine Bluffs being 30 miles from Cheyenne, the closest place to have a hospital, for example). Even with the low population density, the virus is now every county. And spreading quickly at that.
