The one good thing about Bloomberg running has been the quality of most of the ads.

He just released a new one, full of receipts about Bernie Bros.

In a word....WHOA! Money Mike certainly pulled no punches with that ad. Say what you will about Biden, Warren, Klobuchar and Mayor Pete, all of whom have flaws, some more noticeable, more glaring than others, but at least they’re not burdened by a rabid core of followers who act like the sort of knuckledraggers who support Trump as is the case with Sanders.

It's not Matthews' Sanders should be worried about, it's who he represents in the party. Politicians shouldn't take voters for granted, the left aren't immune to this.

Rogan has gotten valid criticism for platforming members of the so-called "intellectual dark web," but he's far from a Nazi. His actual politics line up as moderate liberal. I think a lot of people don't seem to be aware that over the last year or so he's had more progressive pundints and left wing guests ( including Cornel West who seemed to open Rogan's mind a bit). As far as what Sanders is offering Rogan's audience they want? I'd say healthcare and debt relief.

They've been saying this stuff for almost a year now. Unfortunately, some mainstream Democrats have bought into it. Matthews going on about Cuba is truly embarrassing.

Rogan built his platform on appealing to the right and Alt-Right. His podcast is a huge platform for those who go down the Alt-Right habit hole, and when called out on this he refuses to budge. The Dark Web couldn't ask for a better promoter than Rogan.

Rogan's a Libertarian. He's shown consistent turns to right wing opinions and conspiracy theories. For example, he fell for the Seth Rich conspiracy. He's known for being a transphobic, blatant racism, protecting people like Alex Jones post-Pizzagate, and numerous other awful opinions which would get him banned from forums like this one. He hasn't changed. Dude's trash of the highest order.

Rogan's audience aren't going vote for him over those issues, Democrats have tried that before and got nothing from it.

That's been present in a portion of the Democrats since the Cold War, and he's got material and stances that will be tough for them to break for him. That is, if he tried bothering to get their votes - which will be crucial for the general.

No matter what you say about Bloomberg buying his way into the election, he has had a positive influence in reaching more people through his ads and socila media than most of the other candidates combined. This coudl be a boost to voter turnout.

Bloomberg might have been better off working from the outside, like a SuperPAC,running ads and drumming up support, than actually seeking the nomination.

If anything, how well he does will be the biggest social/political experiment in a long time. It will say a lot about who we are as a country and what it takes to win an election.

A brilliant piece of legislation by Rep. Hollis who brought to light the glaring hypocrisy of abortion bans created by Republicans. Predictably, butthurt pro-lifers got their panties in a bunch over the bill, calling it communist and other such bullshit, I mean, what do these people think? That women have immaculate conceptions and can get pregnant without help? Men are part of the equation as well and should share equally in the responsibility.

If this proposed bill became a proxy for the widsom of the pro-choice position, the pro-life side would win.

It doesn't really address the perspective of anyone who thinks there's any wisdom to the objections to abortion. Who will this persuade and how?

You’d think that after what happened in Iowa, every other state would’ve been better prepared. Reprehensible!

They're probably doing their best.

Most states have prepared better by having primaries which are run more or less the same way as general elections. Only Nevada had to be like Iowa and have this clusterfuck caucus.

It's a bit late to change that.

There are some incentives for states, as they have to pay for primaries but not caucuses.

Nina Turner was a Senator. I understand your hesitance on Gabbards. But there is ZERO evidence of that. I would love to see the proof of it.

You did know she was a state senator, right? She was one of 33 in Ohio.

Her one bid for statewide office was running for Secretary of State. She lost by 2 to 1, and hasn't held any elected office since.

Who is qualified to be President?
Also Politico is a terrible rag. Bias "journalism" in favor of both Republican and Democratic Establishment.
Nina is a firebrand, she doesn't bend the knee, so of course the Democratic establishment acts against her.

You have to give the context along with the numbers.

For instance, Marie Newman is running against Dan Lapinski and she almost beat him last time, but the DCCC moved against a PRO-CHOICE woman, to support a man who took his Daddies seat, was a Republican and is anti-choice. Why? he supports the establishment.
So they support him, just like they supported Turner's opponent. Just like they moved against Keith Ellison. Interparty fighting is a thing and is ignored often in favor of reporting Numbers only. But numbers don't always speak the truth. I do numbers daily.

Numbers can only get you so far, based on the way you alter the data.

Are you saying Our Revolution backed candidates did poorly because of sabotage by establishment Democrats? What would have been legitimate for the establishment to do?

If there is any article about how Nina Turner's accomplishments are so impressive that she should be on the national ticket, we'd be eager to see it.

No one is fully qualified to be President, but that doesn't mean we should go with anyone. Traditional contenders for national office include Governors, cabinet members, Senators, prominent members of Congress and military leaders (to say nothing who have served in more than one of these capacities). Someone else might fit the bill, but you really do have to make the case for why someone with an atypical background deserves it.
