Some of these questions, ones from Republican Senators, are leading as if to give Trump's team a chance to push their case even more

Minneapolis NAACP, Black Lives Matter call on Klobuchar to suspend campaign

    https://thehill.com/campaign-issues/...C2DrTA.twitter

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) is being called to suspend her presidential campaign after an Associated Press story published Tuesday showed she may have mishandled a case while she was Hennepin County's District Attorney.

As the county DA, Klobuchar led the case against Myon Burrell, who was a teenager at the time and was sentenced to life in prison for the 2002 murder of 11-year-old Tyesha Edwards. The AP story revealed that Klobuchar prosecuted Burrell, now 33, despite there being little evidence and even though his co-defendant confessed to the crime and said Burrell wasn’t there.

Though Klobuchar was not the county’s top prosecutor the second time Burrell was convicted after filing an appeal, she reportedly denied his request to attend his mother’s funeral, claiming he was a threat to society.

In past debates, Klobuchar has touted her tough-on-crime stance as a Minneapolis prosecutor, and during her first Senate campaign, she recounted Burrell's conviction among others as her finding justice for black families who lost their children to gun violence.

On Wednesday, the Racial Justice Network, Minneapolis NAACP, Black Lives Matter Twin Cities, Twin Cities Coalition for Justice for Jamar, and Communities United Against Police Brutality all asked Klobuchar to suspend her White House bid. Edwards's father has also come out saying he believes Burrell may have been wrongfully convicted.

It doesn't matter if Senator Klobuchar doesn't suspend her campaign. She won't win the nomination even if she refuses to exit the race. She is not gaining any ground.

Texas hasn't voted for a democratic presidential candidate since 1976. Texas is one of the reddest states in America. You know Texas' position on gun rights and conservative values. So Forget Bernie's chances of winning Texas.

Texas is slowly shifting purple, so it's not out of the question. It's highly unlikely, but the future bodes well in Texas.

However, both Sanders and Biden probably don't have a shot, and more broad polling indicates they have virtually the same chance in Texas.

Texas is slowly shifting and Bernie's record on gun rights could help him in Texas, not gonna lie about that. I don't think he'll get it, though, and he comes closer to losing a lot of other states than I'd like.

UFCW 21 endorses Bernie Sanders; Medicare For All
‘Sanders has by far the most pro-worker labor agenda of any candidate’
United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 21 (UFCW 21), the largest private-sector union in the state and the largest UFCW local in the country, is announcing endorsements of Bernie Sanders for president and Medicare for All.

UFCW 21 has long been at the forefront of advancing the rights and dignity of working people, and its democratically elected member executive board voted Tuesday night to make the endorsements because its members understand what is at stake for workers in the upcoming election, according to a UFCW 21 news release.

The polls are always wonky until the primary votes start rolling in. The votes are the only polls that really matter, after all.

    Such a great wall!

Portion of new border wall falls in Mexicali

Mexicali police have confirmed with News 11 that a portion of the new border wall fell on the Mexico side of the border, landing on several trees.

Police said it happened a little before 12 p.m. local time. A portion of the wall landed on the trees, preventing it from hitting the ground. It runs about 130 feet in length.

he evidence that China is harvesting and selling forcibly removed organs from executed political prisoners to satisfy global demand for transplants is convincing.
Essentially, “Muslims are being slaughtered on demand,” says Ms. Ali, a Chinese woman who witnessed Beijing’s live organ harvesting programme at the Department of Liver Transplantation, Tianjin Taida Hospital, in 2006. Her claims have been corroborated by Enver Tohti, a former oncology surgeon in Xinjiang, who carried out the first case of live organ harvesting in 1995 when he was ordered to remove the kidneys and liver from a Uyghur Muslim prisoner who had been made unconscious from a deliberately botched execution.

If this is true it won't be the first time western copies have profited off genocide, obviously.

Why go through all these shenanigans if Trump is innocent:

Republicans Move to Block Impeachment Witnesses, Driving Toward Acquittal

The White House and Senate Republicans worked aggressively on Wednesday to discount damaging revelations from John R. Bolton and line up the votes to block new witnesses from testifying in President Trump’s impeachment trial, in a push to bring the proceeding to a swift close.

As the Senate opened a two-day, 16-hour period of questioning from senators, Mr. Trump laced into Mr. Bolton, his former national security adviser, whose unpublished manuscript contains an account that contradicts his impeachment defense. The president described Mr. Bolton on Twitter as a warmonger who had “begged” for his job, was fired, and then wrote “a nasty & untrue book.”

On Capitol Hill, Mr. Trump’s aides circulated a letter informing Mr. Bolton that the White House was moving to block publication of his forthcoming book, in which he wrote that the president refused to release military aid to Ukraine until its leaders committed to investigating his political rivals. That is a core element of the Democrats’ case, which charges Mr. Trump with seeking to enlist a foreign government to help him win re-election this year.

Before the trial convened, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, and other Republicans signaled that they were regaining confidence that they would be able to cobble together the 51 votes needed to block new witnesses and documents and bring the trial to an acquittal verdict as soon as Friday, after the revelations from Mr. Bolton, reported Sunday by The New York Times, had threatened to knock their plans off course.
