Technically Pete hasn't won any states. Because they STILL haven't called Iowa, and Bernie won the popular vote and is only down .08th a Delegate. So no, he hasn't won any.

Could you imagine how the right wing would lose it's mind if Obama, or Clinton, or Sanders, or Biden were doing this?

I'm not necessarily opposed, but Republican hypocrisy is all I could think of as I read this.

Again, it was for no discernible reason.

Whataboutism with Obama doesn't change the fact that he said it, unprompted, in the middle of a contested primary. Or when he got booed for it, his very impotent response was an old man going, "REALLY?"

Yes, really. Castro was a monster. In Florida, doubly so, given the Cuban refugees.

You have to be pretty far up Bernard's *** to try and pretend this didn't happen, or that it wasn't a bad thing.

There's this strange tactic leftists use in debates by normalising what crazy things Sanders does, like supporting left wing dictators, and pretending like the real world is on the same page as their inner circle where Communism is accepted, rather than a death knell for a candidate to publicly endorse. They're going to discover what works in Vermont is a disaster on the national stage. This could be Sanders saying there right words to sooth the Communist side of the left, as well. Wonder how many people he'd lose if they thought he wasn't a deep cover Communist disguised as a DemSoc.

I've no joke, had more than one Sanders supporter since 2016 tell me Stalin "wasn't such a bad guy". I'm like, people I know you love Communism but this is too much, you have to have standards, not every "communist" was a good person by virtue of agreeing with your basic idealogy.

OR just be able to understand nuance, unlike some here.

Because whataboutism is always bad when it's someone you don't like...

And this is why we leftists find it so hard to work with people who make things up about leftists.

Literally nobody believes this post you just wrote. Because it literally proves you don't understand nuance, Democratic Socialism and communism. It sounds like something a right-winger writes using words that sound scary, without understanding the meaning.

I get that you guys despise Sanders, and yeah You do. Just vote when he's in the general. Talk about him now to get it out of the system, but vote when he's the nominee. Unless the paranoid Centrists want to destroy the party, when he has more delegates. Because if that happens, Sanders is a write-in, and screw unity.

And it won't just be the "Bernie Bros" you love attacking. Because even average people can see the disingenuous attacks Centrists and Establishment love to toss our way.
    #unity...#resistance, lol.

What you meant to say was you don't believe what we posted. Considering the amount of pushback to Sanders I've seen on this very forum I seriously doubt everyone feels the way you do, but hey, I could be wrong.

That is correct. That is also correct, that is incorrect.

Fairly sure Celgress is a leftist, Taz.

Of course they do, there are no lies of which I spoke and the left don't comprise of all the Democrats party on this forum or the world. I understand nuance fine, except bringing up Castro or any left wing dictatorship throws nuance out the window because they're left wing dictatorships. There are leftists who support them, and not simply due to some of the good things they do. Communists didn't disappear from Earth when the Soviet Union fell, they've been a part of the left since the inception.

Not just right winger's have troubles with Communism, Taz. It's a bipartisan opinion. It's awfully dismissive to suggest I don't understand what I mean when I speak about Cuba or Communism and what's not scary about Communism? They're simply another form of fascists, especially those like Stalin, Mao and Castro. But do tell me, what is the right meaning I should be going for, you left your argument blank on that account.

Never said I liked Sanders, nor do I see leftists here thinking nice thoughts about the other candidates yet that's acceptable. Of course I'll vote for the nominee, I'm not that certain you will if it isn't Sanders. You can't threaten something you never were for, that's why the "unity" barb has no bite.

They've been doing more than the left against Trump, that's for sure. The only arrow in your quiver is Sanders, and he's not as invincible as you think in the general.

Corona virus has landed in my state, starting with a teacher at a school in a well to do suburb.

    Awesome.

And you are correct. I'm center-left in my politics. Some older folks I'm close with came from Eastern Europe so I'm naturally suspicious of any authoritarian system such as Soviet-style Communism. I've learned a great deal from these friends about politics and recent history. I'll be blunt, in the behavior of many "Bernie Bros" (for lack of a better term) I see the seeds of authoritarianism (as I did with many Trump supporters in 2015 - 2016) - primarily in their hatred of perceived "enemies" and complete inability to admit the possible faults of their leader and/or idealogy.

On this date in 2016, "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" profiled Jake Rush, a 2014 candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives seat for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District. Rush was a former sheriff’s deputy and an attorney who practices Constitutional law. He successfully defended Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” Law in court, and was a self-described “conservative straight shooter”. He wanted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, protect “traditional marriage”, was a proud member of the NRA, and his foreign policy stance was decidedly neo-conservative, wanting to use our nation’s military proactively. So how did someone who seemingly was a fleshed out candidate with solid credentials get crushed so handily in his primary, receiving only 21% of the vote? Especially when he was challenging a Tea Party nut job like Ted Yoho for his seat? Well, word got out that Jake Rush had a unique hobby amongst Republicans these days… he was a LARPer, or ******action role-player, who often played characters who were vampires with names Chazz Darling or Staas van der Wirst. And sometimes, Jake as “Chazz” got a bit edgy when he’d say things like “At first I thought you were just stupid and I wanted to stick my d*** in your mouth to shut you up while I snorted a line off my new machete that was blessed by Rui (sic) but then I remembered that you were typing so my d*** would really have to be in your hands to keep you from typing but since you are walking in Omaha that’s not really realistic right now … You shouldn’t believe everything that people tell you or you’re going to end up naked and sore, tied to the floor of a van marked ‘Free Candy.'” Now, there’s not necessarily anything wrong with LARPING, in our mind. However, Republican voters sure didn’t think it normal, or that Jake Rush actually went public and defending it in both press releases, as well as having the balls to do so in a two hour interview with Steven Colbert featured on an episode of The Colbert Report, where Colbert chatted with him with a cape on while wearing red-colored contact lenses. Why it is, that the GOP rejected him for his hobby so fiercely… we can’t say. Maybe it’s because it’s only the Republican Party’s tax policies that are supposed to bleed the working class dry and their stance on abortion that are supposed to treat young women like cattle that are behind it. Jake Rush was just too “on the nose” for them to be comfortable with as a candidate. Anyway, Jake Rush’s political career didn’t survive his hobby being exposed, and he has faded from relevance. As such, we’ll set aside his profile at this time and profile a different wacky Republican today instead. (Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 840-40, since this was established in July 2014.)

    Bettina Rodriguez-Aguilera

Welcome to what is the 840th original profile here at “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day”, where we’ll be discussing Bettina Rodriguez-Aguilera, a candidate for U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 27th Congressional District. She was a vice mayor of Doral, Florida (aka the location of Donald Trump’s winter residence), . She jumped into the GOP Primary, and admittedly, it’s hard to find her policy positions, but she does apparently support the idea for Trump’s stupid border wall.

However, her candidacy was limited because of a 2009 interview that surfaced where she revealed her outspoken beliefs not about illegal aliens, but extraterrestrial ones. Aguilera claims she was taken aboard a spaceship at the age of 7 by blond extraterrestrials who resembled the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. She says these aliens told her that the “center of the world’s energy is Africa” and that thousands of non-human skulls were once discovered in a cave on the Mediterranean island of Malta. She says she maintains occasional telepathic contact with these aliens, and says she say a UFO again when she was 17.

Bettina Rodriguez-Aguilera ended up finishing 6th out of 9 candidates in the GOP Primary for Florida’s 27th Congressional District. The seat was won by Democratic Congresswoman Donna Shalala as part of the Blue Wave, flipping the seat for Democrats for the first time since it was created in 2012.

If there is life beyond our planet fine… but let’s just hope they’re not Republicans.
