After four scheduled days of hearings, how bad are things going for the Trump regime?

    On Fox News...
    Their guest commentator Kenneth Starr...

Wondered out loud that maybe Lindsey Graham needs to walk into the White House like Barry Goldwater did to visit Nixon and tell Trump "It's all over..." and advise him to resign.

    BOOM.

Lindsey Graham will never be Goldwater.

    Rudy Giuliani
    (@RudyGiuliani)
Republican lawyer doesn’t do his own research and preparation, and is instead picking up Democrat lies, shame. Allow me to inform him: I have NO financial interests in Ukraine, NONE! I would appreciate his apology.

    Minutes later:
Ukrainian gas executive cooperating in US probe of Giuliani.
Parnas and Fruman have money there and have stated they invested there because Rudy did and told them to because Rudy got big money back.

The self-owning of this administration is historic.

That's also the popular vote. As we all know, the election isn't decided that way.

A new Marquette poll shows that 40 percent of Wisconsin voters think Trump should be impeached and removed, compared to 53 percent who think he shouldn't be.

It also shows him leading top opponents in general election match-ups.

A new Marquette Law poll in Wisconsin finds President Trump leading Joe Biden in the important swing state, 47% to 44%.

Trump leads Bernie Sanders, 48% to 45%, beats Elizabeth Warren 48% to 43%, and tops Pete Buttigieg 47% to 39%.
This might change with today's testimony and with future events, but it is important to remember how the election (which will also be some time after the impeachment vote is finished in the Senate) is determined.
    Sincerely,

Mayor Pete is now leading in 3 state polls.

Trump seems to have Wisconsin on lockdown.

Trump turned in two 39% approval ratings today.

Real Clear Politics finally has an aggregate impeachment polling up but they buried it. It's at 49 support, 44 oppose with four polls. FiveThiryEight has it at 47 for, 45 against with ~25 polls.

    Interesting to me.

It's Joe Biden's 77th birthday today, and according to a DNA test, he has a new grandchild.

On Twitter someone took Nunes facial reaction to learning just how bad it is for the party trying to defend Trump today. His facial reaction is now a meme shown on there as he makes a face of....OH **** MY LIFE.

Trump announces he just opened Apple plant in Texas that has been there since 2013

On Wednesday, during a visit to Austin, President Donald Trump tweeted that he “opened a major Apple Manufacturing plant in Texas” and promised that it will return “high paying jobs” to America — then trashing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for “closing Congress”:

One of the immediate problems with Trump’s claim is that the Apple plant in question has actually existed since 2013. They are simply announcing a plan to expand the facility.

Moreover, Apple is in fact deeply concerned about the impact of Trump’s policies on their bottom line, having recently hired one of the president’s key donors as a lobbyist to beg him to exempt the company from tariffs on China.

And on a deeper level, Trump’s implication that Pelosi is refusing to put the House to work is hard to square with the fact that the House has passed over 400 bills that are awaiting action in the Republican-controlled Senate.

There Are Two Rhodes Scholars Running For President. Only One Gets Mentioned.

major part of Pete Buttigieg’s appeal is his brain.

Many media outlets haven’t been able to get enough of the fact that Buttigieg is a veteran, the mayor of a Midwestern city (South Bend, Indiana) and smart to boot. He went to Harvard. He speaks (or at least understands) eight languages. He reads James Joyce.
And, of course, he was a Rhodes scholar, meaning he won the prestigious academic award to do post-graduate work at Oxford University.

“A Harvard graduate and Rhodes scholar, ‘Mayor Pete’ combines intellectual firepower with a folksy manner that elicits chuckles and cheers over even the driest topics,” read an August report in the Christian Science Monitor that succinctly summed up much of Buttigieg’s appeal.

But Buttigieg, of course, isn’t the only brainy person in the race. In fact, he isn’t even the only Rhodes scholar.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is too, but you might not know it from reading campaign stories this year.

HuffPost searched mentions in U.S. publications for 2019, finding that news outlets cited Buttigieg’s Rhodes scholarship 596 times.

    Booker had just 79 mentions.

“Cory is a former college football player, Rhodes Scholar, tenants rights lawyer, New Jersey city councilman, Mayor of Newark and now Senator of New Jersey. These qualifications too often get overlooked for why he would be qualified to be President,” said Booker spokeswoman Sabrina Singh.

By the same token a poll conducted in Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania found a majority supported impeachment. Really I think it's too soon to tell how the public will take it, but right now I don't think the numbers will improve much in Trump's favor.
