This is also why he's rallying the states because he needs his base since a pandemic has left America in terms of it's land, people, and economy non-viable. Foreign assets be it legit or not doesn't see much worth in conducting operations in a place where money can't flow, power can't be exerted to its full extent, and the people WILL die. Essentially Trump is on his own and barring a miracle via the Anti-Christ he needs the economy moving to stay in power otherwise he's of no usage to the billionaires and without money flowing to produce a cure the country remains in limbo to foreign assets be it Russia or the economy.
All that is true, but there's another reason behind Trump's actions: A relatively robust economy was the only thing keeping his poll numbers from flatlining, something he doesn't need before the election, because if he loses, he'll no longer have the presidency to shield him from a criminal trial on his dirty dealings outlined in the Mueller Report, a trial that he stands to lose and could end up in prison. That's why Trump has to jump start the economy to save his orange ass, to hell if deaths might result if said opening results in another round of virus attacks.

The issue with independents is you never really know what you have until they have to do things. They might be a far to the extreme wackadoodle, someone who embodies what their previous party was a few decades ago, someone who primarily advocates a neglected issue, or who knows what else? The job of mayor for Las Vegas is mostly being a pitchman for the city, but now that we are in a crisis we are seeing what the current one is made of. I'm a 90 minute drive from there so this woman doesn't exactly fill me with confidence, and is too close for comfort.

    Two Doctors and a Moron:

Coronavirus Vaccine Doctor Says He Was Fired Over Doubts on Hydroxychloroquine

The official who led the federal agency involved in developing a coronavirus vaccine said on Wednesday that he was removed from his post after he pressed for rigorous vetting of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug embraced by President Trump as a coronavirus treatment, and that the administration had put “politics and cronyism ahead of science.”

Rick Bright was abruptly dismissed this week as the director of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, or BARDA, and removed as the deputy assistant secretary for preparedness and response. He was given a narrower job at the National Institutes of Health.

In a scorching statement, Dr. Bright, who received a Ph.D. in immunology and molecular pathogenesis from Emory University, assailed the leadership at the health department, saying he was pressured to direct money toward hydroxychloroquine, one of several “potentially dangerous drugs promoted by those with political connections” and repeatedly described by the president as a potential “game changer” in the fight against the virus.

'Convinced': Fauci says there will be coronavirus in the fall after Trump says 'it may not come back'

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, appeared to contradict President Donald Trump's notion that the coronavirus may not reappear for a second wave in the fall.

"It may not come back at all," Trump said Wednesday during a White House briefing.

He discussed the return of COVID-19 after quibbling with a report that said CDC Director Robert Redfield warned of a second wave of the coronavirus outbreak in the fall that could be worse because it could coincide with the opening of the flu season.

Meanwhile, over with turtle boy. He is complaining about helping people.

    - Should we even be looking into if countries are lying about the numbers of deaths from a pandemic?

If some countries, people are reticent to give some informations that impair our capacity to take good decisions, of course, there is something to be upset.
Otherwise, I think we have more pressing matters to worry about like finding a way out…

his announcement follows Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order that allows non-essential businesses to practice "retail-to-go" beginning April 24, meaning they can sell items that are then picked up curbside.
Galleria Dallas officials say, shoppers who purchase from participating retailers online or via the phone will go through a “rigorous protocol” when picking up their items.
“We are ready to support our retailers who are participating in retail-to-go, but need to make sure we do it safely and in accordance with local government orders,” Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed says.

Retail employees will be allowed to enter their stores, retrieve merchandise, and carry it to customer vehicles in the Westin front drive. The employees can place the merchandise in the back seat or trunk of customer vehicles.
Figures it would be the mall in a CERTAIN type of area.

    And which stores??

We have some curbside pick-up in NJ, and a few stores are open. Mostly Supermarkets and Pharmacies, though the local home and hardware store is also open.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren's oldest brother died from COVID-19 complications

The eldest of former Democratic presidential contender and Massachusetts Sen. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's three older brothers, Don Reed, died on Tuesday night from the coronavirus in Norman, Oklahoma, about three weeks after testing positive. He was 86.

"My oldest brother, Don Reed, died from coronavirus on Tuesday evening. He joined the Air Force at 19 and spent his career in the military, including five and a half years off and on in combat in Vietnam. He was charming and funny, a natural leader," she wrote in a series of tweets and confirmed in a statement on Thursday.

But another round of virus attacks will scare people off of going to stores, restaurants, etc. and the economy will tank anyway. Trump is taking a huge gamble here, but then he is the guy who went bankrupt with a casino!
