Iraq Says U.S. Forces Withdrawing There From Syria Don’t Have Permission to Stay
I think Trump didn't realize he needed to ask permission first.
The Iraqi military has warned the Pentagon that U.S. forces that crossed into Iraq as part of a sudden pullout from Syria don’t have permission to stay. The Pentagon has previously insisted that all of its nearly 1,000 troops withdrawing from northern Syria will move to western Iraq to continue fighting ISIS and “to help defend Iraq.” But Iraq’s military has said American troops can only be there in transit, saying in a statement: “All U.S. forces that withdrew from Syria received approval to enter the Kurdistan Region so that they may be transported outside Iraq. There is no permission granted for these forces to stay inside Iraq.” An extra 1,000 U.S. troops in Iraq would be a significant addition to the 5,000 American troops already based in the country.

OK, so Lindsey says that it "...is a lynching in every sense." That would include the literal sense, would it not? So I would like Lindsey Graham to name anyone who has literally called for Trump to be strung up from a tree and hanged until he is dead. Because if there is anyone who has suggested that, they should be investigated by the Secret Service.
Graham and Fox News expert showed Trump a map to change his mind about Syria withdrawal
WASHINGTON — In the days after President Donald Trump paved the way for Turkey to invade Syria, several of his closest allies went to the White House — twice — to try to change his mind, according to four people familiar with the meetings.
Retired Gen. Jack Keane, a Fox News analyst, first walked the president through a map showing Syria, Turkey and Iraq on Oct. 8, pointing out the locations of oil fields in northern Syria that have been under the control of the United States and its Kurdish allies, two people familiar with the discussion said. That oil, they said Keane explained, would fall into Iran's hands if Trump withdrew all U.S. troops from the country.
Keane went through the same exercise with Trump again Oct. 14, this time with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., at his side, according to four people familiar with the meeting. Keane displayed a map showing that almost three quarters of Syria's oil fields are in the parts of the country where U.S. troops are deployed, the people familiar with the meeting said. They said that Graham and Keane told the president that Iran is preparing to move toward the oil fields and could seize the air space above them once the U.S. leaves.

Twitter Link@realDonaldTrump and @LindseyGrahamSC this is a lynching. Trump this is not happening to you and it’s pathetic that you act like you’re such a victim; but it did happen to 147 black people in your state Lindsey. “A lynching in every sense”? You should know better.

Every last politician of color, on BOTH sides of the aisle need to mercilessly ream the asses of Trump and Graham for the insensitive and four alarm foolish thing they said. There's a leading black Republican, Tim Scott I think, who should call out Trump, if he doesn't, then he's nothing more than a spineless shitstain who puts party before his race. To let Trump get away with his infuriating words would be intolerable.

On this date in 2014, “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day” looked at former Oklahoma Congressional candidate Timothy Ray Murray, the challenger to Oklahoma Congressman Frank Lucas in 2014, who after only getting 5% of the vote in the primary race for that U.S. House seat, got online to claim that Lucas had actually been publicly executed while on a diplomatic visit to Ukraine in 2011, and theat he had been "replaced", somehow. Therefore, Murray wanted Lucas' votes ceded to him. Further questioning indicated that Murray believed the current Frank Lucas running around as an "automaton" created to keep up the ruse. This isn't the plot of a sci-fi movie, this isn’t a plotline from Westworld, and Murray is obviously in need of serious psychological analysis but has thankfully fallen off the face of the earth politically.
In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, that we published our first two "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" profiles of the U.S. House Representative from Montana’s At-Large Congressional District, Greg Gianforte, who after several big losses in trying to become the next Governor of Montana. having started Christian ministries that have bankrolled millions of dollars toward the construction of a the 20,000 square foot Dinosaur and Fossil Museum in Glendive, Montana, that asserts to its patrons that the Earth is only 6,000 years old, and there’s no way the skeletal remains of dinosaurs on display are millions of years old, as scientific carbon-dating technology would have you believe. No, the curators assure people passing through that the fossils are but 4,300 years old (which would mean dinosaurs roamed the Earth around the time of the pharoahs) and that there’s no proof of evolution, whatsoever. Okay, maybe trying to willfully spread ignorance of science when you’re motivated by your faith on that subject doesn’t seem like it would be the most harmful thing, even in this day and age… it’s not like Greg Gianforte’s deeply held faiths are motivating him into any stupid policy decisions? Well, actually… he and his wife apparently lobbied the city of Bozeman, Montana to try and pass a city ordinance based on Indiana’s “religious freedom” laws that made it legal for Christians businesses to discriminate against the LGBT community. Gianforte is apparently dedicated enough to opposing LGBT rights that he also bankrolled the legal defense of Colorado baker Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakes, who wanted to refuse service to gay patrons (Phillips lost, of course), and further applauds Phillips for not opening his bakery on Halloween because “Christians should not promote Halloween”. If these bizarre policy calls based on his faith weren’t already troubling, there’s Greg Gianforte’s opinion on Social Security… we shouldn’t have it because he thinks “the concept of retirement is not biblical”, citing the fact that Noah built the Ark at the totally believable age of 600. Gianforte made a last ditch effort to beat Steve Bullock in the 2016 governor’s race by trying to gin up fears over Syrian refugees, and lying and claiming Bullock had been restricting gun rights (while he had actually EXPANDED gun rights in Montana as governor.) Gianforte got absolutely trounced by Bullock in their debate, showing little understanding of the law in many instances, and providing only tired and cliche Republican talking points devoid of facts. Gianforte, however, maintained support of Donald Trump even after he boasted about getting away with sexually assaulting women… which would pay off later.
Because, just when we thought we had our last entry about Gianforte… Congressman Ryan Zinke was picked to be a member of Donald Trump’s Cabinet of Horrors, opening up a spot in Congress in a special election race that wouldn’t you know it, Gianforte would run for. And even though Montana still leans extremely to the right, and the Democratic candidate, Rob Quist, had some sketchy details in his background, it was nip and tuck as the last few days to that special election in Montana, with Donald Trump endorsing Gianforte, because he tolerated Trump’s sexual assault in the build up to the previous election. And… then things got weird. Weird even for a guy who thinks Jesus was fending of T-Rexes. You see, on the eve of the election, Greg Gianforte lost his goddamned mind, picked up a reporter from the Guardian, Ben Jacobs , body-slammed him and screamed at him. This is normally unacceptable behavior for a politician, and more fitting for how a heel WWE wrestler would resolve being confronted with questions they don’t like. Well, Gianforte was charged with assault, pleaded guilty to avoid jail time that would make him a rather ineffective Congressman, and then spent most of his few months in office dodging a court’s order that he still would need to take a mug shot. Spoiler Alert: He still had to get a mug shot.
- February 14th, 2018: Gianforte celebrates Valentine’s Day by blurting out as many conspiracy theories as he can in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo to try to cast doubt on the Mueller investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with them.
- January 23rd, 2019: Rep. Gianforte voted against HR 648, because he was gleeully enjoying the longest government shutdown in history.
- February 28th, 2019: Greg Gianforte votes against HR 1112, a bill which would have required universal background checks on all firearm purchases, and close the gun show loophole.
- March 14th, 2019: Rep. Gianforte votes against HJR 46, which sane members of Congress voted for to reject Donald Trump’s “national emergency” regarding the U.S. border and his attempts to reallocate funds for a border wall without Congressional approval.
- April 4th, 2019: Greg Gianforte is one of 158 Republicans who choose to vote against the re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act, likely because they feel the 2nd Amendment remaining absolute is more important than preventing people with a history of domestic abuse from owning a firearm (which statistics show, makes them more likely to use those firearms against women in their lives).
- May 17th, 2019: Gianforte votes against The Equality Act, which would have prevented discrimination towards Americans based on their gender identity or sexual orientation.
- June 4th, 2019: Rep. Gianforte votes against the Dreamers Act, because he’s too xenophobic and partisan to care about immigration reform.
- July 16th, 2019: Greg Gianforte can’t be bothered to vote against a resolution to condemn Donald Trump for his racist statements that four people of color in Congress should “go back where they came from”.
Our main update on Greg Gianforte is that only a term and a half into his Congressional career, he’s opting to again take another crack at running for Governor of Montana in 2020. No word on if Montanans have yet decided having the chief executive of your state with a criminal record going in might be a bad idea or not.

Buckle up, it's gonna be an impeachy ride!
https://twitter.com/ShimonPro/status...110776832?s=20Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch said after leaving the SCIF that Bill Taylor’s testimony “is a sea change.”
“This testimony is a sea change. I think it could accelerate matters,” he said. “This will, I think, answer more questions than it raises. Let’s put it that way.”
https://twitter.com/Yamiche/status/1...920721920?s=20Confirmed: Bill Taylor’s opening statement was 15 pages long and led many in the room listening to his testimony to sigh and gasp as he described efforts to tie an investigation of the 2016 election interference to a White House meeting and aid being released to Ukraine.
https://twitter.com/GarrettHaake/sta...543905804?s=20Members have described Bill Taylor’s testimony this morning as disturbing and very credible, backed up by “meticulous” contemporaneous notes he took during phone calls and meetings. Those formed the backbone of a lengthy opening statement.
Lies about Antifa revealed, leading to conviction of "Proud Boys" fascist gang members:
Two members of the far-right group the Proud Boys were sentenced to four years in prison on Tuesday, over their involvement in a Manhattan brawl last October. Maxwell Hare and John Kinsman were convicted this summer of attempted gang assault, attempted assault, and riot during an attack on anti-fascists after a speech by the Proud Boys’ founder Gavin McInnes. Hare and Maxwell claimed they fought in self-defense, but security footage obtained by The New York Times revealed that Proud Boys initiated the attack.

So how are Republicans beyond Graham reacting to the lynching comment.... well...
GOP Sen. Cruz: “obviously a word with significant historical freight. The connotation the president is carrying forward is a political mob seeking an outcome regardless of facts. And that I think is an objectively true description of what is happening in the House right now”Republican Sen. Cornyn:
“Obviously that’s hyperbole and some people might find it offensive. That’s my reaction”
Are you offended?
“I’ve got a pretty high threshold when it comes to being offended around here. Otherwise it would be all day everyday”More with Graham...Louisiana Sen. Kennedy said he couldn’t comment until he read the whole series of tweets and the context
And for WPP, here's Tim Scott.Graham just angrily doubled down on agreeing this is a political “lynching”
“What’s happened to your profession?” he scolds reporters
“It’s not just racial my friends. No. I’m from South Carolina I understand it very well. Mob rule is what lynching is all about”
Sen. Tim Scott said he “wouldn’t use” the term but largely supported Trump's broader frustrations.
“This is the political version of a death row trial. The president is up in arms in anger about it ... He’s putting his political life on trial. His comments reflect it"
