No, they're still not fine. There will always be people who fall through the cracks of a system and they should not be criminalized for doing so. Existing while being homeless and helping those who are should never, ever be criminalized in any way.

    I'm agreeing with you dude.

I think the issue is more that certain laws (not homeless targeted ones like this) also crossover with the homeless in bad ways.

House Democrats brace for some defections among moderates on impeachment of Trump

House Democratic leaders are bracing for some defections among a group of moderate Democrats in swing districts who are concerned a vote to impeach President Trump could cost them their seats in November.

Lawmakers and senior aides are privately predicting they will lose more than the two Democrats who opposed the impeachment inquiry rules package in late September, according to multiple officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk frankly. Two senior Democratic aides said the total could be as many as a half-dozen, while a third said the number could be higher.

Predictions about some defections come as a core group of centrists from districts Trump won in 2016 are having second thoughts. While many knew impeachment would never be popular in their GOP-leaning districts, some have been surprised that support hasn’t increased despite negative testimony about Trump from a series of blockbuster hearings last month.
Several moderates have privately pined for other options, including a censure vote they know they’re unlikely to get. Others have even considered what one moderate called “splitting the baby”: backing one article of impeachment but not the other to try to show independence from the party.

The amount of triggered right wingers over a teenager saying "Yeah your kind of destroying the planet, itd be really good if you could stop" is hilarious. Especially the lengths they'll go to discredit her with Shitty conspiracy theories and terrible memes

The Koch Brothers are in the energy business, how much has their dark money helped the GOP? The oil industry is the GOP's ally, not the wind or solar industry, why would they care about people who have not helped their goals the way the oil industry has. Why would they care about cheap energy for American citizens, if those industries do not give them dark money like the Koch Bros did?

    I think this is naive.

Was thinking about Trump not taking a Salary as President, and about all his Emoluments violations.

I'm thinking that I'd rather have a President who is paid by the Taxpayers, by the American Citizens he (or she) is supposed to be working for, then forego that payment and instead accept payments from foreign nations via unconstitutional, indirect emoluments.

Instead of reaching out to the youth of the world that she inspires. He chooses to be derisive, and dismissive of a young person that wants to do some good in the world. Even if your politics run afoul of what shes trying to accomplish. She's a child who is trying to make the world a better place.

This is the exact reason that the GOP doesn't attract youth and minorities. They are casually dismissive and flippant about issues that effect youth. And they don't even try to reach out in terms of political rhetoric or policy.

I mean she has Asperger syndrome but shes not letting it keep her from thriving. The smarter play politically would be to praise the effort and determination. But show how GOP plans and efforts are shaping the future that the youth want. We know that isn't the case but at least pretend you aren't attacking kids.

This is their go to play though. They did the same thing with the Marjorie Douglas kids and the Gun control movement. They go to attack mode immediately rather than applauding the effort and conviction of their efforts. They do not even pretend to care.

And Melania wonders why she gets booed when she comes to fake pontificate in front of an audience of kids that isn't hand picked. #BeBest indeed

Well, this was not at all unexpected. Stevie Wonder could see Trump would take the low road out of spite and jealousy after having been denied Person of the Year in favor of someone he saw as just some punk kid and rabble rouser. Remember, Trump plays to a narrowminded, knuckleheaded mob, and a political party which firmly believes in the old adage that children should be seen and not heard, god only knows if Trump gives Barron, probably the same age as Greta so much as the time of day, so it wouldn't be at all surprising if he grows up to be just as twisted as dear old dad who was shown no love by his own father when he was young. Bottom line: Hillary was right....right wingers and the shitstains who support Trump ARE deplorable!

It's funny because his supporters will go on and on about how "Dems and Libs" have "crazy" policies about free college and free healthcare. And how all that is insane and they are "crazy". But, they have NO compunctions about kids in cages, or bashing and making fun of kids trying to fight for gun control after they survived a mass shooting at school. And here a Young girl who is trying to convince and lead the world to do something about protecting the environment.

They do not even see how silly and petty they sound. Maybe Medicare for All and Trying to give more people access to higher education by figuring out better ways than incurring massive debt for years of your life after college is currently out of reach. But, why is it "insane" to even attempt to attack those issues? Just like Greta and climate change action. Even if you follow the GOP format of denying science and calling it a hoax. Why is what she fighting for worth attacking a child?

Its just mind boggling that his supporters act like hes a "victim" of investigations and calls for impeachment. But he acts like low class trash attacking kids.

The articles of Impeachment don't even approach the depths the office of the President has sunk under his administration. They barely scratch the surface. But, you have his supporters telling us its all frivolous and "the case hasn't been made".

His supporters don't give a damn about the racism. They don't give a damn about him attacking kids. They don't care about him using the full weight of the government to force the hand of our desperate allies to investigate a political opponent.

No matter who his opponent in the election is in 2020. Everyone who does give half a **** should get rid of him. His supporters don't need prompting. They don't need encouragement. They will ride their perceived victimization, racism and xenophobia right behind him.

True, there isn't enough proof of that. But I can see him doing so, only in that taking the money obligates him to actually do the work of a President instead of just pretending to do it while making a profit from the office.
