See previous response. Also, the whole Hunter debacle hurt him in the polls, despite the fact that Joe didn't actually do anything wrong (aside from not defending himself better). I think Bloomberg entering the race probably drew the majority of his supporters from the Biden camp, but have no actual proof of this.

Honestly, Biden's main problem is that he has been and always will be a rather mediocre individual, and it was a mistake to ever expect much from him. When he ran in 2008 he was the guy at the end of the debate stage struggling to get any air time or recognition, and getting picked to be Obama's VP was by far the greatest break of his life which he used to accomplish, what exactly? The reflected glory of Obama can only carry you so far, at some point you have to demonstrate that you have what it takes to lead and inspire people through your own merits, not just coast on the reputation of your former boss. None of his missteps would be all that damaging if he had enough positives to balance those out, but really, what great moments has Biden ever really had? This is why his support has been so shaky and looks ready to collapse now, people were never voting for him so much as they were voting for generic moderate who happened to know Obama, and on that front he's easily replaceable.

I think the best way to deal with the coronavirus is to keep churning more smug NYT and WSJ articles about how it represents some moral failing on the part of the Chinese.

He lost the primary but was polling better than her in the general, but if you believe what you are saying why are you against Bernie being the nominee when he's winning the primary this time? If Bernie was the wrong choice in 2016 because he lost to Hillary, everybody losing to Bernie would be a worse choice than him.
