I loved the debt it was amusing, not productive but amusing. Guess who I found amusing in 2016, Trump., so yeah what a mess.

He ran for office as a socialist.

It is how he has been seen in international newspapers.

Perhaps, but he isn't running on what we mean by socialism. He isn't abolishing capitalism.

What he is doing, is trying to have his cake and eat it too. That is the kind of strategy that doesn't often pan out.

Again that doesn't make him a socialist. Words actually have meanings. We have Medicare. Sanders wants to expand it. The federally government has waived debt and bailed out banks, he wants to do that with college loans. We have taxes, he wants to raise a certain segment of them.

Words do have meanings and to Sanders he thinks being percieved as a socialist is a winner. If you're going to blame anyone for this, blame Sanders. Nobody's forcing him to define his political career like this.

AOC does so much better consistently fighting that label and making the distinction. But she isnt the candidate. This will be a MAJOR MAJOR storm if hes the nominee. Its scary to people they will be innundated that hes going to turn us into Venezuela or whatever nonsense.

It will be non stop all over Fox News etc. Along with the meandering vague costs of all his plans those are his biggest weaknesses.

I for one don't think Sanders is a socialist I think he is a trojan communist, but it's a free country (for now) so whatever floats your boat.

2020 election is going to be a fun election to watch.

Maybe the moderate democrat and progressive democrat factions should split up and form their own parties like Democratic-Republican Party did 200 years ago.

It's such a shitshow already, it is going to be great. This election is the crack cocaine of political watching - you know it's bad for you but you constantly crave another hit.

Edit- Next debate they should ask the candidates if any are flat earthers. I bet at least one candidate will go on a tirade defending flat eartherism while insulting the others for ignoring the "facts".

    LOL, I forgot about her.

This "debate" was insane, stupid, and at times out of control, I adored it. To hell with civility in politics.

The centrists and the progressives can't stand each other, that's fine. But the Democrats need to unite against Trump, regardless of whoever will be the nominee. If they can't do it, then Trump wins.

It is the height of lunacy to believe this propaganda that we've been fed for decades that somehow these impoverished third world nations like North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela, as bad as they might be for their own people, are somehow the greatest threat to peace and stability in the world when just about every geopolitical conflict can be traced right back to that big 800 pound gorilla that has military bases in every corner of the globe. The failures of socialism can largely be blamed on the actions of the United States, since we actively try to isolate and destroy any socialist regime, often using the pretext of freedom and democracy to topple popularly elected governments in favor of right wing autocrats that are far more brutal and ruthless than what they replaced, and if that doesn't work, we flex our economic muscle to make sure they're unable to participate in global trade, and it's pretty hard to see any country succeeding if they can't secure necessary resources or find markets for their products. As there is no country which threatens our stability on a daily basis in a similar manner, despite all the fearmongering about Russia and China, it stands to reason that a President Sanders would have a relatively free hand to implement his policy as he saw fit, and beyond that, would also be a great boon to the fortunes of many living in impoverished nations whose resources and labor help to feed our economy and are routinely smacked down by American military power for daring to even claim a small slice of the pie.

    Yep...

MSNBC has Carville on, but there's not media slant. Nothing that they are trying to sell you.
