This was always going to look good early for Biden and late for Bernie. But it's looking better for Biden than projected and early voting heavily helps Bernie. And that's problematic for him going forward.
Of the four swing states tonight - two have decisively gone for Biden. The other two appear to lean Bernie, but with less of a gap.
My big fear here is that if Bernie loses MA will dump Warren in several years because that state can be spiteful. But yeah if Bernie wins Texas it will still be salveagable for him. Biden is never going to have a bigger momentum bump than last night. So now it goes into chess match mode.
Bidens money machine will benefit immensely after this. He was struggling in like 4th or 5th of funds before SC. These impressive turnouts and wins will get him much needed cash to continue to compete. And if Bloomberg drops and backs him
Sanders meanwhile the narratives being thrown around are being exposed here in exit polls and results. Early voting in Colorado was over 65 percent, meaning pre SC. If they had that much day of voting would Bernie have even won it? And hes still sharing delegates where he should have won with his "movement"
Want to know whose winning? Listen to the speeches tonight. It's clear Bernie felt he had to reverse something.
He had a good speech to that effect IMO.
Did Biden just get interrupted by Vegans?
Texas was always a toss-up and going to be close. Biden securing a close number of delegates stops the bleeding from states like Texas and California should Bernie run away with those the way he was projected to. Meanwhile, Biden snagging big wins in Minnesota, likely Massachusetts, maybe Maine, getting delegates in Vermont, and sweeping the southeast is a good night for Biden and one of the “bad case scenarios” for Sanders.

Looks like my wish is coming true - Bernie is feeling the burn from Biden.

“Those damn establishment folks, like the older black folks in the South, were out to hurt once-arrested Civil Rights champion, Bernard Sanders, who focused on economic issues and criminal justice reforms that would’ve disproportionately helped them! Awful!” is my best guess.
To be clear, I think part of the problem for the Sanders campaign is that they have occasionally had a tendency to have reduced black folks to criminals and poor folks in the same way Trump does in his own language about “helping the black community [more than Obama]”. Economic issues are important to voters, but recognition of other social problems, especially in the wake of Trump, would’ve gone a long way to growing his constituency with them and making critical in-roads. Biden focusing in on Charlottesville as the catalyst for his campaign was probably a smart move, building off his credentials as Obama’s VP as a true ally.

After they get over their anger enough to form coherent thoughts I fear the enemies list will be greatly expanded with Pete & Amy at the top. Thank goodness most voters realized while Biden is not perfect Biden poses no threat to our democratic institutions unlike Sanders and his Cultists.
