Did you willfully miss the part where he threatened to slap the guy and cursed at him? Spare me about being a hypocrite. I want them to fight for policy. Again, you willfully miss that part.

I want them to fight when it matters. The guy was fine even thoughI disagree with him is a citizen and Biden was being an ass.

There is an actual difference between fighting for an issue and just telling a guy you want to take him outside and fight him.

Never mind that Biden clearly said that he does not work for that guy.

Hopefully, these are just one time flubs.

That said, there's more than one of these instances in recent memory. Never mind that these sort of mistakes could play right into Trump's bit about that he is out there working for Americans. How true that assertion is or is not might fall by the wayside when Biden is out there telling a guy he doesn't work for him.

    Meh!

Utah called a state of emergency before any cases had even been found there.

All over a virus that is less deadly than the common influenza virus that comes around every year. Coronavirus is new and shiny but otherwise nothing next to the regular flu which killed vastly more people this winter.

I don't think Trump is capable of that level of long term planning.

If anything, this was a textbook example of how to potentially lose middle ground voters who are worried about what they see as their Second Amendment right.

There's a way to fight on that issue.

    This was not it.

I'm very interested in hearing Sanders speak now after these results. He went back home to Vermont instead of trying to move on campaigning.

These results almost seal the deal for Biden.Sanders message can't be the same after this. I mean there isn't anything promising so far for Sanders in these results

COVID has much higher mortality rate than the common flu. They are trying to stop it from spreading.

"You are actively trying to end our Second Amendment right and take away our guns," the man said at one point as he stood feet away from Biden.
"You're full of s***," the former vice president responded without missing a beat.
"I did not -- no, no, shush, shush," Biden said, turning his head to someone else. "I support the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment -- just like right now if you yelled 'fire,' that's not free speech. And from the very beginning: I have a shotgun, I have a 20-gauge, a 12-gauge. My sons hunt, guess what? You're not allowed to own any weapon, I'm not taking your gun away at all. You need 100 rounds?"
"You and Beto (O'Rourke) say you're going to take our guns," the worker said to Biden. At a Democratic debate last year, O'Rourke memorably declared, "Hell, yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47." O'Rourke, who dropped out in November and has since endorsed Biden, also had proposed a mandatory buyback of assault-style rifles. Biden, however, has not endorsed those policies.
"I did not say that," Biden said, raising his voice slightly, adding, "That's not true. I did not say that."
At one point, the man said, "You're working for me, man," to which Biden replied, "I'm not working for -- gimme a break, man. Don't be such a horse's ass."
That's the transcript. I'm not defending Biden, just asking you what you really mean by 'fight', since it's something you've been extremely demanding for and, I dunno, this seems pretty fighty to me! I had a hard time hearing the bit about the slap but I'm a bit hard of hearing.

Corona Virus could kill me and my parents, very easily, especially if it reaches epidemic levels.... but hey, no big deal, right?

Hmm Bernie wont even speak or appear in public tonight.

Is he bracing to start wrapping this up then?

Frankly, and I know this is gonna get me a lot of flak, but Trump gained a lot of popularity for “telling it like it is”. That helped him out a lot with blue collar folks who got him Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. This seems like a good clip in Biden’s favor in that regard. Look, all other things being equal, I would prefer a more profesorial approach a la Obama or Warren. But I do think that shutting down folks like this that are spewing lies—lies which not correctly answered can lead to electoral problems—is important. And Biden did do that concisely, even if it was lacking in tact.

    Maybe...?

But I also think he doesn’t want to speak until he has a good state to talk about. Washington is coming in late. And it looks to be the most likely state for Sanders to carry. I would like to believe he won’t drag this out and continue to give Trump ammunition against the now-presumptive nominee, but I don’t really trust him to look at this contest that way, especially after 2016, when he was mathematically eliminated ages before the convention and Obama finally had to sit him down in June and tell him he was endorsing Clinton because it was going to be her.

I think Sanders will get North Dakota, but he needs Washington if he wants to stay in the race with any hope of winning.

That ship has already sailed. He has no realistic chance of snagging average margins on Biden in remaining contests of 30%+. Not with Florida so solidly in Biden’s hands already.
