Actually, I don't see it as being fragile. Consider that most people are heading the Social Distancing and isolation guidance. Consider that there is very little panic in the sense that people aren't out on the street freaking out. Consider that people are helping each other out. And so on.

Everyone is scared, and worried, and uncertain, but they aren't completely in despair or freaking out over it. I see it as a sign of strength.

Things are crazy here as well. Our stores are bare and a man got stabbed at Kroger for trying to buy the last 4 pack of toilet paper.

I don't think it's actually THAT bad though.

For the most part I think a lot of americans are sitting in their homes in relative comfort and safety, knowing that all the essentials at least are still available to us if necessary. Grocery stores are packed with people and short on supplies, but I'm not afraid I'm going to starve anytime soon.

If this were some sort of pandemic movie, so far it would be pretty boring. Hopefully it stays that way.

I agree with you completely. According to the WHO, the death rate among healthy young - middle-aged people is only 2.5% which is 0.5% higher than the seasonal flu. By way of comparison, Bubonic Plague has a 40% mortality rate and Smallpox 30%. This isn't a dire situation not even close.

Hate to tell you, centrists, moderates and liberals have been hating that DINO since before you all were even a movement.

Sad thing is, it isn’t. It’s assholes who will be irresponsible and get the more vulnerable sick because they couldn’t have their fun. If it was just them hurting themselves it would be one thing. But it isn’t.

I would very much like to see a woman as the VP. I would've actually prefered to see one as the President. BUT.
I think the smart move for Biden here is to offer the VP spot to Sanders. This would go a long way toward unifying the party in the face of 4 more years of Trump as well as securing the Senate.

I stand ready to accept your critcism.

It's official now: Trump has not only destroyed all of the DJI gains during his presidency, but has also started destroying some of the wealth created under Obama.

I'll be worried when all of those nuts with assault weapons under their couches decide to bring them out to "safe-guard" the local Wal-mart or Costco.

An old man who most likely will not serve two terms can not in good reason have another old man who has had health scares in the past and who will not run after Biden as a running mate. If Sanders were younger I could say this might make sense. But Biden if he wins needs to look to the future of the party. Have as a vp someone who will run after him and groom them for that role. A woman as he said he will select makes perfect sense. An African American woman would be ideal. Whoever he picks needs to have a strong media and White House presence to get there name out ther for 2024. They need to be a very strong VP. I see Biden since it is clear he will get the Nom as the place holder President (If he Wins.) While the Dems groom the next big star.

I think it is a hard sell to have two 75+ year old white men on a ticket together.

    Rand Paul, folks.

    https://twitter.com/ichthysaur/statu...457710086?s=21

In a Senate floor speech Wednesday, Sen. Rand Paul appeared to describe undocumented immigrants as not “legitimate” people while making the case that they should not be given access to federal child tax credits. His office later said he was referring to people who fraudulently claimed a child in order to reap the federal benefit.
It is actually worse than that makes it sound.
