An old man who most likely will not serve two terms can not in good reason have another old man who has had health scares in the past and who will not run after Biden as a running mate. If Sanders were younger I could say this might make sense. But Biden if he wins needs to look to the future of the party. Have as a vp someone who will run after him and groom them for that role. A woman as he said he will select makes perfect sense. An African American woman would be ideal. Whoever he picks needs to have a strong media and White House presence to get there name out ther for 2024. They need to be a very strong VP.

I get that. You're not wrong, but the main goal here is to seize the government back from the GOP and we need all hands on deck to ensure it. It can't be left to chance while McConnell is actively trying to stack the courts with conseravtives for the next few decades.

It's official now: Trump has not only destroyed all of the DJI gains during his presidency, but has also started destroying some of the wealth created under Obama.

I would very much like to see a woman as the VP. I would've actually prefered to see one as the President. BUT.
I think the smart move for Biden here is to offer the VP spot to Sanders. This would go a long way toward unifying the party in the face of 4 more years of Trump as well as securing the Senate.

That's just not going to happen. Although I see the logic in choosing someone more "progressive" it won't be Sanders.

And he probably wants someone with enough experience to really be hands on, because that person could be the president of the US 4 years from now or even sooner. Given Bidens age I suspect he wants someone who could literally take over the job from him on any given day.

I think he's looking for someone who'll help him win by expanding his appeal. I think at this point the whole experience thing as been proven to be not super important. He's looking for someone to balance the ticket as they say. It's no secret that that's why a lot of VP's are chosen, including Biden himself.

Sen. Martha McSally is likely doomed in her efforts to win an election in Arizona, and not just be a Senator because she was appointed to be one by Gov. Doug Ducey. Trailing in polls against Mark Kelly, she is looking to go on Fox News, make noise about COVID-19, and blame its spread on young, asymptomatic people putting the elderly (i.e., her voting block of support) at risk of infection.

There's just one problem, she's a f***ing idiot, and blamed it on "asymmetric" people.

The problem is Biden may indeed be just a one term president given his age and any potential VP is going to be an heir apparent as next president. Sanders is pretty much the same age wise to Biden so it's not a good option for choosing him potentially as the next president.
