Link please. Because there is nothing on Darman's about that.
Do you support the unaccountable GOP $500 billion fund for corporations?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
He'll also be 77 years old on election day. I don't know if he wants another term.
Granted, he has enjoyed being one of the most powerful politicians in the country as one of the key swing votes.
To be clear, the bill needs 60 votes to pass. Sanders isn't changing the margins at all, even if it was a tie. They don't need 50% plus one. They need 60 out of 100 to pass, or 41 out of 100 to reject.

Here's a twitter thread pointing out elements of Pelosi's bill that do not directly seem to tie into directly responding to COVID-19.

I think the dismissal of vote-by-mail as not relevant to this crisis given how many primary elections have had to be delayed demonstrates the slant of this particular poster. However, I’m certainly understanding how the other things, like corporate board diversity, isn’t necessarily relevant to this crisis and seems like a pork-barrel provision.
With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility
Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Both Dems and Republicans tried to push some bull crap in the stimulus bill. Abortion, climate change, voter rights. They are important topics to address but not in a bill meant to help the American people through the crisis in memory. It makes me thing neither side wants to get this done.

Um, which bill is being discussed in that twitter thread that Mr. Mets has provided? The text doesn't seem to match H.R. 6201.
Currently looking at H.R. 6201, S. 3548, and H.R. 6074.
Found it. https://apps.npr.org/documents/docum...ted-House-Bill

NPR has the text of the emergency appropriations bill.

It matches the snapshots in the twitter thread.

Is it really that hard to just make a bill that says
1. Give regular people these things
-tax relief
-a monthly check for somewhere between 1k-2k until this emergency ends
-unemployment relaxed
-paid sick leave
2. Give corporations
-a stimulus to survive this if they had to shut down
-a tax break for not laying people off
3. Essential healthcare services money necessary to conduct operations
Good god! There is a sociopath in the Whitehouse! I'm generally a non partisan person, but if you open up the U.S. for business in less than a month, the cornavirus will spread through the United States like a wildflower.
Every other western nation is going into a strict lockdown, while Trump is advocating opening the country back up for commerce in possibly less than a month. That is insane!!! New York is turning into the next Spain & Italy.
As a Canadian sharing the same landmass this freaks me out, Canada needs to build a wall now!!!
