Lots of actual stuff happening, lots of seeds being sewn for the book.

The best characterization this lot has seen in so very long.

The NEO are an off-shoot of mutants that Claremont introduced in X-Men v.2 #100. The only book I had of them was X-Men: Giant Size where Marvel "killed" them off.

I dont see how Emma could block her from going thru the gateway. Its always possible Duggan comes up with an explanation but Emma dont have any influence on Krakoa as far as we know.
Its more likely Kitty is a plant (ha!) from Neo without even knowing it.

I can totally see Emma blocking Kitty. The how/why is part of the mystery. Krakoa itself is mystery; I mean it was recently just the school grounds in NY for Wolverine and the X-Men where the island was a character and had a personality. We should see Xavier and Krakoa communicating prior to all of this.

I'm kinda leaning towards that idea too. I was half-expecting Krakoa to toss her back into the ocean when she stepped onto the beach but he didn't have a problem with that. So she can be on the island, just not through the portal. Hmm.

So, I really liked this. Duggan's KITTY is great. The whole thing with her not being able to go through the gates is intriguing, gives something different from her for a while, and is a good setup for the whole boat thing. I really liked Bobby on this issue too(he wants to meet top men... we been knew).

She doesn’t blow up the tank. It’s smoking as the man crawls out of it behind her. Storm was very clear on the “kill no man” law, I doubt she’d be so blasé about it if Kitty had been straight up murdering people.
