My only concern with this new Krakoan setting is that human villains are pretty boring. You take all the mutant villains away, all you're left with is a bunch of no name humans. But let's see how this goes.

There are all those mutant hating Cyborgs or high tech weapon users such as
Donald Pierce & the Reavers
Cameron Hodge & the Right
Simon Trask & Friend Of Humanity
Leaper Queen & the Sapien league.
Bastion and the Purifers.

LOL. Not every book with a spotlight issue focusing on a certain character (let alone its very first) is a 'secret solo book'.

I doubt that you already read first few issues and can tell for sure that spotlight is really changing amogst team.
I will believe it when I see it.

Issue 1 wasn't a team book even close. Fight at the end of book was the easiest option to let every character to shine a little bit but it was just a Kitty's show again.
It is normal that some people like it. I don't.

Iceman is not so stupid so he can get depowered twice in the same way. Storm is much more then her powers.

This was very enjoyable. Fun set up issue, and I enjoyed learning that Logan has an affinity for Rendezvous ribs in Memphis. Which they will FedEx to you.

As for Kitty not being able to pass through the gates, I figured it was obvious. No precogs on Krakoa, remember? As per Moira X. If you recall how Kitty used her powers to phase her consciousness through time in Days of Future Past, well, if she can go backwards she can probably go forward too. That’s my theory anyway.

thats a good theory. But what is stopping any precog from just sailing to the island. That's where it gets dicey. She was able to get on the island just fine.

Upgraded to main cast normally always means they’re going to be more attractive.
