"Danielle... I intend to do something rash and violent." - Betsy Braddock
Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Certainly was! This is a book I will be following, so much fun.
Poor K/i/t/ty Kate! Didn’t she seed one of the original Krakoa gateways, (I’m thinking the Jerusalem?) what a way to thank her.
I cringed with her here!

And will someone please feed Kurt a square meal, he looks like a stiff wind could blow him away.
So much better than X-Men #1: everyone actually felt like themselves, there was warmth in addition to tension, these characters felt like people, not just mouth-pieces for the plot! It's also helped reassure me about the new stance now that there's a bit of...not 'dissent,' but it's clear to see everything's not perfect; Bobby's missing chips, Logan's missing...well his basic diet of booze apparently and to see Kitty actually put in such a tough position is intriguing. Like, she's been othered from the others for some reason.
Still not sure about where Storm stands in everything though, but I'm getting a much better vibe here than with Hickman; here I can see her dedicated to the cause, her referring to 'our people' isn't an aggressive stance it's, y'know, expected. It's compassionate...It's Ororo! I do kind of suspect there's going to be some conflict between her sense of purpose and Kitty's though, it definitely feels intentional.
So glad I gave this one a chance though!!
Does anyone play Overwatch? Duggan’s Pyro reminds me of Junkrat.
Didn't Kate's dad die on Genosha? I wonder if that is big a part of her not feeling really the island as a home base.
11- Yeah, there's nothing there that says that Kitty is bi.
15- I don't think it's Namor, but rather saying Emma has another boat that is supposed to be a secret.
Could be that, or simply fear Kitty might phase into a place where she isn't supposed to be, like Moira's No-Place, perhaps even by accident.
