Default What was Number One in the charts on the day of your birth??

Hopefully a bit of light relief on a sometimes heavy Community board.

What was topping the charts on the day that you were born? Obviously in the main I'm talking about the No.1 hit in the country of everyone's personal nationality but other worldwide charts can count too.

I wish I could say that mine was something 'rock and roll' but sadly I can't. With apologies to any fans of the song, I was born on the 2nd of October 1974 and topping the UK charts at the time was no less than 'Kung-Fu Fighting' by Carl Douglas. Looking across the pond at Billboard and it doesn't get much 'cooler' I'm afraid. In fact, I've never even heard the song 'Rock Me Gently' by Andy Kim. Perhaps I'll check it out later to rectify that.

What was number one when everyone else first came into this world??

So July 14, 1969, the #1 song was In the Year 2525 by Zager and Evans. In the UK it was SOmething inthe Air by Thunderclap Newman.

    Other chart toppers that day...

The #1 movie was The Wild Bunch.
and the #1 fiction bestseller was The Love Machine by Jacqueline Susann.

and I'm totally okay with that, I think Mel & Kim were really cool.

"That's the way Love goes" by Janet Jackson.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. I was just a few weeks before Rock Around the Clock.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

And about 9 months later, there was an inexplicable spike in births.
