Long time as in another 5 years? It seemed like things were actually happening

I guess with GL they really have to get the budget and look right so it looks good and not like the live-action movie.

I’m going to wager that the relative quiet might be the fact that GL, due to budget and association with the 2011 flop, are probably one of those projects that is going to have to fight to justify itself once Discovery’s takeover

Everything talked about at fandome is probably too far in to be cancelled/is already guaranteed for whatever reason. Everything that wasn’t is up in the air

A good creative take would probably get a Green Lantern movie greenlit sooner. Something that could be relatable and fun for the average movie goer like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Let's have an outerspace with a North, South, East and West with some sort of highways. And planets with an equator should have aliens with diverse skin tones. According to wikipedia a planets equator determines if a person has a dark or lighter skin tone. Those who live closer to the equator have darker skin and those who live farther away have a lighter skin tone.

They've already cast a few actors so it seems like they're almost to the pilot stage, if nothing else.

The FX is probably going to be the hardest cost of the whole endeavor. Because at least it's not a movie like the 2011 film.

I imagine that the budget for GL has already been given. They arent going to be casting people and not know how much money they can spend. Which...if they already cast people then they have to start filming soon because it is a waste of money to have people contracted for the roles and being paid to do nothing.

I don't know how I'd feel about a re-branding if only because I've gotten used to the current name.

Glc has already started filming a few months ago, I'm quite amazed how rampant the speculation has become
