It was never really a rumor. The very first thing anounced when Abrams signed on with WB was that he'd be shepherding a series of supernatural DC projects meant to lead to Justice League Dark.

That is some spot-on casting there. Mark Strong was obviously a great pick, too, but he was very much in the mold of the beefier Geoff Johns incarnation of the character. Menzies has that aristocratic gaunt, David Niven-y look that feels more appropriate to me. Originally Posted by Frontier
