    Forgot to mention Blazing Saddles.

And I saw Airplane! in the theater when I was 9. Innuendo, language, boobies, and shit hitting the fan. I freakin' loved it!!!!!

When I was about 10, I saw the original Night of the Living Dead on TV. The film was shot in B&W in 1968. I liked the film, and didn't realize that it was 10 years old, and edited for television.

So when the sequal came out in 1979, I wanted to see it. What I didn't know was that the film was so graphic and violent, that the MPAA wanted it to be rated "X" for excessive violence and gore. The director wanted to avoid that, because so many people equate "X" with porn movies. So a deal was struck. The film would be released without a rating. However, there would be a disclaimer that no one under 18 would be allowed in at all.

My father hadn't heard this, so when I asked him to take me to the movie, he took me and my younger brother. The ticket salesperson didn't pay attention to the warnings, and sold my dad the tickets, and we saw the film.

We were not prepared for what we would see, and for some strange reason, none of us thought we should leave after paying for the tickets, so we saw the whole thing! My brother and I had nightmares for two weeks. I believe my dad did too!

Ever since then, I have a compulsion to see zombie films, even if they scare the crap out of me.
