And then there was Emily "Emmy Jo" Peden, the co-host of New Zoo Revue. This was a kids' show where two human adults (Doug and Emmy Jo) interacted with "kid" animals (actors in full body costumes). Emmy Jo was seriously hot and was wont to wear miniskirts, go-go boots, knee socks... I think she, Joy from The Bugaloos and Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island reruns fixed in me a lifelong attraction to cute, leggy brunettes. By the time puberty hit I was much more interested in the Lynda Carters of the world than the Farrah Fawcetts.
