I agree that KT saying she likes it isn't anything interesting considering she likes Emma and this is a book about Emma written by someone who also likes her, but it has nothing to do with "whitewashing" her...

Can confirm guys, I was with Kelly when she read the issue and it was a ride.

Can't say I totally enjoyed the choice of placing goat noises in red caps lock over Jean's balloons. Also, Emma breaks the fourth wall at a couple of scenes and addresses some issues regarding police brutality and inequality of income, while Jean looks confused in the background. Bold artistic choices and you'll be rewarded if you read it with that in mind. Hickman is a mad genius, certainly. Dauterman's art also fits the script very well. I'll hide now before JDW and Cebulski find me. Peace!
