Storm is part of Kate's crew so that's how Emma might get involved. Plus shadow king is fought with telepaths and I guessing Betsy will be in other dimensions

We will only know when reading it. because if it really is Shadow King the last people to deal with him were rogue-gambit, mystique, bishop, fantomex, old man logan (soon to be dead), Angel and Betsy.
If they wanted a telepath betsy would do.
That would be more interesting than the same thing again

Betsy has had issues handling Farouk before. And she's my favorite X-Man, but Jean (and Emma) are unquestionably stronger telepaths IMO.

For a weaker telepath she did well on Astonishing, projecting lots of people on astral plane can't be easy.

I'm excited to read this. Dauterman's pages are going to be beautiful! I'm glad to see they gave the Jean's red costume the green/gold treatment. Looks better like that.
