You do remember him speaking up for Mutants at a college and getting nearly beaten to death in that infamous issue, right? He would have died if not for Callisto and the Morlocks.

Xavier's peaceful coexistence ideology and passive stance only failed because the humans always chose fear and hatred over understanding. Always. That's why this different approach is so relevant and needful.

Hard to judge the success of something before it reaches its end… And comics is about drama. So it cannot be consider as something realistic, anyway.

And the idea that you have to 'get your hands dirty' to be effective is… curious.

It's not curious. Can you tell me about some great social advance that has been achieved in a 100% peaceful way?

We do not know how it will end but right now Xavier has managed to make the mutants unite and lead peaceful and happy lives in Krakoa, without fear of death.

And humans have gotten miraculous medicines.

The two species are much better now than before Krakoa.

Like the mutants who have used violence have done anything except make Xavier's dream harder to achieve. They've failed just like Xavier has, because it's a comic book.

The two species are hair trigger away from all out war right now. Krakoa keeps pushing humanity's buttons rather then truly making peace and them giving humanity drugs won't last forever, and it certainly isn't an excuse to hide behind how nefarious they've been. Bribing humanity with the least of krakoa's abilities won't solve anything. And this is before the world discovers what they're doing on the island or elsewhere.

"Much better" perhaps on paper but in actuality...the tension between Mutants and Humans are at an all-time high... ostensibly because they're are now speaking and acting from a position of united power. For the first time the Humans have realised they may be in for a fight they could very well lose...and they are afraid.

    And that's good.

Because before the X-Men were always reacting out of frustration. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

They could do that without tempting fate. Humans being afraid is the status quo, humanity being afraid means they made a horrible mistake. There are mutant supporters among humans but doing things which will make them afraid is the opposite of Xavier's dream - he wanted peace, not war.

Nothing's really changed, now they're frustrated and working with cartels and super-villains.

And what, pray tell, great nefarious things are they doing? That have happened on paper, please. And that is not The Crucible since we've heard that already.

It doesn't matter if they try to be heroes, mutants are always feared and hated.

The main difference is that humans are now unsure that they could start another genocide without consequence.

Stop gaslighting, you know exactly what things they've done. I definitely include the Crucible in this.

And the cartels thing is.. really? If you know you could save children's lives working with cartels you wouldn't do it? Doing the "moral" thing is better than helping people out of gulags or stopping kid soldiers?

And you make it suound as if they are smuggling cocaine, it's pharmaceutical products that could even more save lives. And they have the cartels under a tight grip.

Besides (maybe) the Crucible (we could argue for hours about it), I really don't know what terrible thing they have done against humans on the island.
