“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
It absolutely is.
In six years, from ages 13 to 19, Kitty has seen more torture, execution, death, and carnage then any soldier in the history of our world. She has seen futures of her friends and family genocided no less than 12 times. She has been presumed dead at least twice. Every friend she has has died at least once. A person who remains the EXACT same through all of that is a person suffering from extreme mental illness.
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
