This was a quality book with real character growth. Hate to see it end, especially if it's the return to status quo it appears to be...
Oh man, I can't wait to see where this issue leaves Otto.
I do think a return to villainy was always inevitable. Don't know if it'll actually happen here or if it'll be a fake out but, eventually, Ock will have to join Spidey's rogue gallery again.
I just hope they can do so in a way that acknowledges his time as SSM.
Well the book does have a history of veering one way when you think it's going another, so I'm hoping there's more to this than Otto just reverting to type. Kraven just got rebooted and I have no doubt Norman Osborn will return to himself at the end of Absolute Carnage. Let Otto have some kind of victory out of all this beyond just a return to status quo...
The fact that they presented a way that they could have had their cake and eaten it too and just used it as a fakeout at the start is such a waste.
So sad this series is ending. It was the best other (current) Spider-Man series bar none, IMO.
"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
I’m sad that this status quo is ending and hate Marvel’s recent way of ending things when a book like this gets cancelled, not with leaving things in a way that the character can be used in such a way by other writers even if they aren’t the star but instead just by burning the whole thing to the ground and forcing the character back to factory default. Makes me glad that Kaine escaped that and has remained the Scarlet Spider even if the clone degeneration has returned.
This book deserved better.
Otto deserved better.
Marvel deserves worse.
Wow... doesn't look like Otto will save James... I wonder if Anna Maria has already called in backup?
