'Superman & Lois' in development at the CW

I figured it's just a common thing for the CW to do. They added Thea to Oliver, Sara to Laurel, Alex to Kara, and I think Mary to Kate. I don't think theres a particular reason besides mixing things up and rounding out the cast.

Although at least Thea and Mary are based on actual established comic characters (Mia Dearden and Bette Kane respectively).

To create drama. Brothers fighting with each other. I guess razors don't exist in the Arrow-verse. Ollie didn't shave either. Barry seems to be the only guy in the Arrow-verse with a razor. Maybe he found one on another Earth.

They're obviously setting up a love triangle with Lana's daughter.

I will take the drama with the two boys over a triangle with Clark, Lois and Lana any day of the week.

Even if covid were to blame, there's no reason to release an unfinished product.

It's probably CGI of some kind (idk why they just don't use actual props, it'd look better). I'm (somewhat, but not really) kidding by calling it 'an action figure'.

Nope. We know What to expect in the pilot, but beyond that it's anyone's guess. Maybe they can do Metallo or parasite, Toyman would be a fun episode too.

I hope we get to see older versions of these villains. Take advantage of some of the more creative older takes on these characters, like the Superman 2000 pitch.

Yeah, I'm not sure why if they wanted to add a second kid they didn't go with a daughter instead. A second son around the same age no less (by the look of the actors) seems an especially odd decision.

It would also be problematic to cancel Supergirl and then introduce another... super girl especially to get rid of a legit comic character and create someone entirely new for the show... Not sure how that would play out.

Sure, but anyone who has been in a long-term relationship knows there can be plenty of relationship drama without the specter of adultery looming overhead.

But having two teen sons will allow for that in a more organic way without blowing up a beloved pairing like Lois and Clark.
