    I don't think the intention is for women to be forced to have children. I forgot where I read it but it's intended to be opposite to the "no more mutants" slogan.

    Why this need to "make more mutants"? Is there so much space on this island that it does feel empty? They feel outnumbered?

    Why are you only concerned about women? It takes two to have kids and a father is going to have just as much responsibility raising a child as a mother.

    Besides, as others have pointed out the rule doesn't even necessitate reproduction the old fashion way. I suspect we shall eventually see Sinister creating Chimera mutants.

    I vote for the next generation of mutant males being able to give birth. There are amphibian mutants. They can lay eggs like those aliens on Orville.
