    Default Is Namor a mutant?

I just read issue 6 of The Uncanny Xmen. Namor joined Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants for a bit. Magneto floated the idea that he was a mutant. So is Namor a mutant or was Magneto just trying to get him on his side?
Favorite teams. Alpha Flight, Avengers, Fantastic Four, West Coast Avengers, Justice Society of America, Legion of Superheroes.

Namor is a hybrid Human/Atlantean and a Mutant.

Fun Fact: At one time, and for decades after, but not anymore (don't ask--that is another long story for another thread, lol) touted as Marvel's First Mutant!

Yep, he was first suggested to be a mutant in Fantastic Four Annual #1 (July, 1963) actually.

Is namor's mutant power really just those little wings on his feet?

Pretty much. His parents weren't shown to have them, so it's something that came about because of mutation (Saga of the Sub-Mariner #2, December 1988):

Also, Namor is way above even even the strongest Atlantean in strength.

Namor used to have electrical and shape-changing powers.

Namor can also breathe in and out of water without a breathing device or serum.

All of these can be attributed to his mutant nature.

X-Fans may not like it, but this is what the ideal mutant power looks like--
