Can't help but think Corsair and Hepz are a tad differently characterized here than in XMen but overall I am interested in the funky aesthetic style of this book. Diluting the classic New Mutants lineup well we'll have to find out if that works out.

Also wonder why in god's name Doug isn't with Krakoa where he belongs

1) Which is funny cuz same author.

2) I don't think Doug has joined at this point.

Am I wrong for thinking that Illyana hasn't actually interacted that much with the NM since she fooled them during Zeb Wells's run? (Rosencanny doesn't count and Dead Souls didn't have that many members of the original group)

There was an annual during the Terrigenocide era where she hung out with Moonstar.

I'm guessing Brisson is writing the dialogue which is why they sound different? You can also tell by Rahne's dialogue.

Hickman wrote the dialogue I believe.

Hickman avoided doing phonetic accent for Moira the entirety of HoX/PoX, so either he thinks Rahne can't be without her accent, or Brisson is at the wheel in these pages.

Preview looks great, naturally. This is the other book I was anticipating alongside X-Men and Marauders so I'm already excited!

YAAAAASSSSS my Rahne is keeping the accent flame alive. I miss Moira's. (Also, to me it is clearly Hix doing the dialogue) What's more, Rahne is not a) tortured/crazy b) a bigot or c) a mom.

I do wish Excalibur, an even stranger book, had an equally offbeat artist.

Marauders and Excalibur did the same thing. If that's the case, there might be some plot heavy stuff on the beginning.

Fun preview. Magik and Roberto are great here. Nice one liners. Art is ridiculously pretty.

I could do without the phonetic accents, though. Chamber sounds more Southern US than British.

Art is amazing. Loving both Roberto and Illyana. Dani's single sentence was also spot on.
