Default What comics/characters are read by other comic book characters?

I love a cheeky sprinkle of meta or a little winks to readers, so picture this. Your favourite character has a panel, a page, a splash or cover - whatever you feel fits - where they're reading, or you get to sneak in, another book.

Who would read what? Or can you dredge up any favourite examples of this in comic book history?

In Sandman vol 2 ("Dream a Little Dream of Me") #3, John Constantine mentions than an ex-girlfriend stole his collection of Silver Surfer comics.

Barry Allen used to read and take his inspiration from the comic book adventures of Jay Garrick's Flash.

Off the top of my head, some form of the Golden Age Marvel comics existed in the 616 universe. Also in the 616 the Fantastic Four regularly have comics published about their adventures. The comics are supposedly based on the "true" adventures of the team.

The Wonder Woman comic book traditionally existed in the Wonder Woman comic book, in the same way that Dr. Watson's stories about Sherlock Holmes existed in Conan Doyle's stories about Sherlock Holmes.

Comic book characters love reading their own comics, of course.

Not exactly a comic, but in the Justice League animated series Green Lantern grew up reading the Justice Guild comics.

Before Marvel decided (through Roy Thomas, likely) that the GA Marvel Heroes were in continuity, only Cap, Bucky, The Torch, Toro, and Namor were considered "real".

I love it when they read about themselves too. And that Batman cover... One of my fav early covers, alongside Batman and Robin peeling the cover back to reveal Penguin.
